Principal’s Spring Break Message 3/23/25
A special message for Mustang Families.
First off, an amazing thank you to our fabulous scholars, staff, and families who made this week a special week. We celebrated our Band Scholars with an inspiring concert on Wednesday, and many of you joined us for a fabulous Lunch with a Mustang Scholar on Thursday, and Friday our 8th graders began their journey to promotion with their own Panorama Picture. I am so grateful to serve as the principal of such an amazing and successful school.
Remember even during break our scholars thrive on structure and routines. Though the next 2 weeks will be without some routines and structure, iReady reading and iReady math, family chores, completing missing assignments, and reading the news, as well as earned rewards at home can maintain the consistency and growth our Mustangs need this Spring. When we return April 7th, only 9 weeks remain before the school year ends. Thank you for checking grades and expecting improvement from your children. Your partnership with us makes a world of difference as we build scholars who will solve problems and design solutions for the world of 2030, 2050, and 2075.
On behalf of our entire Margarita Team, we wish you rest, relaxation, and a chance to be refreshed with your family this Spring Break. Let’s commit together to reducing screen time and invest in scholars rediscovering reading for pleasure and getting caught up in a good book.
We will miss being together as a Mustang Family during these next weeks so remember to give your kids a hug or a high-five, tell them how much you love them, and listen really well while they are away from us this break. You know as well as I do, they grow up so very fast.
Remember, we are better together and "You have a place in this world. You matter and belong here". At Margarita Middle School, You Belong! Do you have a question, concern, or need to connect with us, call or email so we can work together for excellence.
Recently I shared with our Mustang Team that this is my last year as the Principal of Margarita Middle School. After 10 years, it is time to pass the baton at the end of this school year to another leader to continue supporting the critical work of supporting the scholars, the families, and the staff of the Mustang Family. Next year, I get to have the best role in the world, a father of 6 and a teacher. I am so grateful to the amazing school we have built, and for the success, change, and joy we have accomplished together. As we finish strong this school year, let's continue the amazing, consistent, and collaborative work that makes us the special school we call home.
Thank you for your help in making the Margarita Family so great!
