Things to remember:

  • Auto-calls go out at 9:35 and 1:35 daily when a student is marked absent for 2 periods during the day. Make sure you contact the office by 9 a.m. if they have to be gone.
  • Send a doctor's note, other proper documentation, or sufficient prior notice to the principal to excuse an absence, otherwise it will be considered one of their 6 verified absences before being unexcused.
  • VisitU will send texts/emails to parents/guardians when students check in or out at the office.
  • Mandatory safety drills will occur at GCHS in the coming weeks (Fire, Tornado, etc.)

Pantry Sign Up

GCCSD partners with the Food Bank of Iowa to provide food products for our students and families. Food pantry items are sent home in student backpacks on Fridays. We strive to provide items to create a meal and/or supplement a few items in the home's pantry. Items vary based on availability. All students are eligible to receive pantry items. Please fill out this form if you would like your student(s) to receive pantry items.
