A Message from Mr. Smith
Greetings HMS Community!
While the information below was shared last week, I wanted to send it out once again, as we plan to release schedules today and will welcome students for self-guided tours tomorrow evening.
We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon!
Student Schedules
We will be publishing student schedules at some point today, August 19.
Students and families can access schedules via the Aspen X2 Student portal. If you are experiencing technical difficulties with Aspen, please email aspenhelp@hinghamschools.org.
Please make note of the following:
- Homerooms. A student's A block class is also their homeroom. If the A block class switches between odd and even days, then the homeroom will switch with it.
- Lunch. Lunches all take place during E block. Students will learn their lunch assignment during homeroom on the first day of school. It does not appear on their schedule.
- Directed Studies. Room and teacher assignments for Directed Studies will be updated at the start of school.
- Questions or Errors. If you believe that a scheduling error has been made, please contact a building administrator, and we will do our best to help! Each administrator will work with a specific grade.
- Grade Six - Mr. Smith (dsmith@hinghamschools.org)
- Grade Seven - Mr. Riordan (driordan@hinghamschools.org
- Grade Eight - Mrs. Janulewicz (ajanulewicz@hinghamschools.org)
Additionally, our School Counselors will be back in the building on Monday, August 24, and will be able to assist you with any schedule questions or issues.
Please be advised that in some instances, minor changes may need to be made to individual schedules in order to balance class sizes and provide all students with a well-rounded course load. New copies will be issued to students on the first day of school.

Special Education
Questions about special education services and IEPs?
Please contact our school psychologist, Dr. Maura Albrecht (malbrecht@hinghamschools.org) or team chairperson, Mrs. Denise Doherty (ddoherty@hinghamschools.org).
They will be happy to assist you when they return from summer break.
