Our EOEL preschoolers had an absolute blast during a special visit from Ocean Safety! Uncle George and Uncle Kurt shared the secrets of their trade, showing off their life-saving gear and explaining the important signs we see at the beach. The students were fascinated to learn how lifeguards communicate and perform daring rescues. The highlight of the day? A hands-on "rescue" simulation! Each student practiced reaching out for a hand as a lifeguard "drove by" to scoop them up onto the rescue board. The giggles and smiles were endless as they pretended to be rescued by a jet ski.
