A Message from the Principal

Hello and Happy New Year!!

I pray that everyone is well and safe during this time. I would like to review a few reminders for our Kolas.

  • Masks are required for ALL students that enter the building.
  • Students should wear their transportation tags daily.
  • The Instructional day begins at 8:05 AM and ends at 3:40 PM.
  • For everyone's safety, we are asking that you keep your child home If they are running a fever or not feeling well.

Playground

I am proud to announce that the district has reached out to me and they will begin the process of rebuilding our playground very soon. Also, Mrs. Nguyen, one of our Kindergarten teachers, applied for the "Wild About Recess" grant, and our campus was selected to receive three freestanding climbers for the students to play on during recess.

Parent Meeting

Please save the date: I will host a "Coffee with the Principal" parent meeting on January 19th @ 9:00 AM. During this time, our Instructional Coaches will provide information regarding student Assessment data and we will also discuss strategies for parents to use at home when working with their children.

Mask Requirement to Remain in Effect

Due to an upward trend in local COVID cases, Aldine ISD has determined that its mask requirement will remain in effect until further notice. Upon return from the holiday, the district will continue to require students, staff, and visitors to wear face masks at all district facilities and events.

Superintendent LaTonya M. Goffney said that all pandemic-related decisions are based on the data and facts available to Aldine ISD, and the district will continue to prioritize safety while never sacrificing learning.
