Summer Credit Recovery 2026

• Students must have failed one or more classes in a core subject.

• BHS Students must have the recommendation of the Department Chair for the failed class.

• Non-BHS students will need to submit a signed permission form from their school.

• Students will complete coursework through the online program Edgenuity.

• Students will need to dedicate forty to sixty hours total to their course.

• Students will need to have completed their course(s) by the end date of the program.

• Students are required to take tests and exams in-person at the BHS library during our Summer Lab hours.

Barnstable High School Student Cost: $100.00*

Out of District Student Cost: $250.00

Payment will be submitted at registration. We accept cash and Myschoolbucks payments. No personal checks, please.

*Students who are eligible for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a reduced price of $50.00.

Summer Lab is where students can come to get help with their summer courses and to take their in-person, proctored assessments.

Summer Lab takes place in the air conditioned library at Barnstable High School. Our program's teachers are available from for tutoring, lessons, and questions. Each subject has a teacher able to help the students with their courses. Please check the below schedule for Summer Lab dates.

Tuition can be paid for in cash at the time of registration or via Myschoolbucks. It is possible to pre-pay for tuition, but does not guarantee acceptance to the Credit Recovery Program; students must still meet prerequisites. Payments do not process until students register. Please choose the correct option below to make a Myschoolbucks payment.

We welcome all students from the state of Massachusetts who need to complete a credit recovery program. Students who are not enrolled in Barnstable High School ("out of district") must bring a completed approval form from their school to the in-person registration. All students are expected to abide by Barnstable Summer Credit Recovery policies for the duration of their program.
