Nauset App Help Page
Families should download the Nauset App to receive school updates, alerts, and messages. Please note: some people have mistakenly downloaded the Thrillshare App instead. The Thrillshare App is for staff only and does not allow families to log in. To help, we have created the Nauset App Help Page on the district website under the Students and Families tab. This page includes written guides and short tutorials to walk you through downloading and using the app. Visit the page here: Nauset App Help Page

Updates From The Principal
Hello NRMS Families,
Happy New Year! It is 2026 and we are back in session. It has been a busy week with some highs and lows. I'll get the lows out of the way first. We arrived back to school Monday morning with a small flood in the 8th grade hallway after a burst pipe. Thankfully our custodial crew is amazing and were able to get the school ready to open on time and many of our students probably did not even know there was a flood. Then on Thursday, we had an unexpected fire evacuation when a fire alarm was accidentally tripped. Thankfully, we are located so close to the fire department that they could reset the system and get us back inside quickly. Both incidents were great tests of our systems and we were able to return to normal operations efficiently. I am thankful for our custodial team and our local first responders.
The highs of the week included a wonderful 6th grade winter concert with performances by the orchestra, chorus, and the band. We also started our 5th grade visits with the students from Orleans, Wellfleet, and Truro all here this week. 5th Grade students from Eastham and Brewster will visit next week. I will then meet with parents/guardians of current 5th graders on Wednesday evening, January 14 at 6pm in our middle school auditorium.
During the 5th grade visits, our 6th graders serve as hosts and our 7th and 8th grade members of The Crew serve as tour guides. Our students represented our school well.
We wrapped up the week with the 80th school day and a 1980s spirit day. So fun to see what our middle school students who were born in 2011 or later think 80s style was like.
Next week, we look forward to a couple of great events. First, on Wednesday at 4pm we encourage the student body to Pack the Gym for the boys basketball game.
Then, on Thursday there is a showcase at Nauset Regional High School for all current 8th grade students. See information in the flyer above. We encourage all students from NRMS to plan on attending NRHS for high school. Visiting on Thursday will allow students to see this magnificent, new school facility.
Next week, our 7th graders have the opportunity to visit Cape Cod Technical High School in Harwich. Families of 7th graders have received information about these trips. To clarify, these visits to CCT are not mandatory. We just need permission if you do intend for your 7th grader to visit the technical high school.
Enjoy the weekend and playoff football! We expect some tired students (and staff) arriving to school Monday morning after the Patriots play in the Sunday night game.

Middle School Athletics Booster Club
Dear Nauset Middle School Families,
We are reaching out to invite parents and guardians to become involved in the Nauset Middle School Athletics Booster Club. The Nauset High School Boosters Club established a middle school chapter several years ago, and we are now looking to rebuild and re-energize this group with the help of parent volunteers. A strong booster club plays an important role in supporting our student-athletes and enhancing the overall athletic experience.
Parent volunteers can help in many ways, including:
- Fundraising for new uniforms and athletic equipment
- Organizing team-building events and celebrations
- Assisting with school spirit initiatives such as Pack the Gym and Pack the Field events
- Supporting game-day and athletic event logistics
Whether you have a little time or a lot, your involvement can make a meaningful difference for our student-athletes and programs.
If you are interested in learning more or getting involved, please contact:
Cheryl Silvernail, President, Nauset High School Boosters Club nwbcexecs@gmail.com
Gregg Barr, Athletic Coordinator, Nauset Middle School barrg@nausetschools.org
Thank you for your continued support of Nauset Middle School Athletics. We look forward to working together to strengthen our programs and build school pride.
