Bellerive Bulletin

Dear Bellerive Families,

We are now fully into our schedules and routines, and we have many exciting activities taking place at Bellerive! Please take a moment to review the information and flyers below to ensure you don’t miss any upcoming events. We are currently preparing for Walk to School Day, Talent Day, and more. Before-School Clubs will be starting later in October, so please stay tuned for more information about clubs. You will also want to check out the information below about upcoming attendance emails that you will receive.

I look forward to seeing many of you at our Clean Up the Campus event this Saturday! Have you bought your tickets yet for the Bellerive PTO Day at St. Louis City2 Soccer Game next Sunday, October 6?

I want to give a big thanks to everyone who has contributed to the PTO's Champions for Children Fundraiser. We are getting closer to our goal!

Car rider families, we are making some internal changes to our car rider dismissal process starting on Thursday. There are no changes to how cars line up, but we are going to try a different method for gathering and lining up our car rider students. This should create a safer and smoother dismissal process for all. We appreciate your patience over the next few days while we learn a new routine.

Don't forget, picture day is Monday!

Your continued support is greatly appreciated! Please reach out if you have any questions.

In Partnership,

Joey Kneer

We are coming to Bellerive Elementary School on October 7, 2024!!

All Children Are Eligible:

· Children with a State Medicaid Identification number

Following hygiene services, a letter will be sent home indicating the treatment each child received during our visit as well as follow-up treatment he/she may need.

To take part in this service, a dental consent would need to be completed and signed. Please visit www.dentalsafariforms.com to complete our online form or complete our paper consent form and return it to your child’s school.

With your generosity, we have crossed the halfway point in our fundraising goal for the PTO's Champions for Children! With only a few weeks left, we need your support! Our goal is to raise $3,000 more before Fall Break. These funds help provide activities and events for our students and families - culture night, family picnics, author visits, field trip transportation, and more! Ways to give are listed on the graphic below.

Missing just 2 days a month (chronic absenteeism) in kindergarten is linked to lower achievement in fifth grade reading and math. #AttendanceAwareness #AttendanceMatters

Our school goal is for all students to be present at least 95% of the time, which equates to fewer than 8 absences over the course of the school year. Starting soon, in an effort to promote good attendance, we will send regular attendance report emails to ALL families so each family has an up-to-date understanding of its child’s attendance to date this school year.

The attendance emails will be sent to ALL Bellerive parents/guardians. Receiving an attendance email is informational and does not necessarily mean there is an attendance concern for your child.

We understand that illnesses happen and some appointments can only be made during school hours, but we appreciate your support toward your child achieving 95% or higher school attendance for the school year!

HERE is the Bellerive Buzz Book. Please remember this is for internal purposes only and should not be shared or used for marketing purposes. Enjoy connecting with one another!

It's Game Time!

Join the Bellerive community at CityPark on October 6th to cheer on City2.

A portion of ticket sales benefits our Bellerive students.
