BCS District Update -

CONGRATULATIONS to the following BHS students who made the President's Honor Roll at Glen Oaks Community College for the Fall 2023 Semester. These students achieved a GPA of 4.0:

Additionally, the following students achieved a GPA of 3.75-3.99, placing them on the Dean's Honor Roll for the Fall 2023 Semester:

• Miranda Wolford

Over winter break, Bowersox flooring replaced water-damaged flooring in two of the classrooms at the Jr/Sr High School after the cause of the water leaks was addressed early this fall. All of these replacements were funded with sinking fund dollars. See pictures of the project progression, below.

Sinking fund dollars are also being used for the unreimbursable portion of a technology infrastructure/wiring update project at Anderson and the Jr/Sr High School.

This summer - the Ryan restroom will undergo much-needed renovations/updating, as well.

The Bronson Community honored the BCS Hall of Fame 2024 Inductees on January 19, 2024:

Each building is implementing a new visitor check-in system (Navigate Visitor Management).

Upon entry in the buildings, visitors will be required to scan their Government Issued ID at a kiosk. If you do not have an ID with you, the administrative assistant in the office will manually check you in using your legal name and birthdate. The system will check various databases to ensure that the visitor is safe to be on school property. After the clearance check, a badge (including a picture) will be printed in the office. PLEASE BE SURE TO GET YOUR BADGE FROM OFFICE STAFF after finishing at the kiosk. It's important that you check out with the office staff, as well.

Eventually, students will also be checked in and out with this system and a pass will be printed for them to take to class.

With any new system, we anticipate that we might need to work through some barriers, but we know that this system will enhance safety throughout the district. Thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding as we work through implementation.
