Principal’s Corner
As we continue the school year, please remember that every day of school matters! Regular attendance helps our students stay connected to their learning, build good habits, and make steady progress. Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. We are excited to celebrate our students who are building strong attendance habits!
We are also getting excited for our Multicultural Fall Festival on October 28 from 4:30–6:30 p.m.! We look forward to bringing our Slate Ridge families together for an evening of fun, food, and celebration of the many cultures that make our school community so special. Mark your calendars and come ready to have a great time!
Thank you for being such an important part of our Slate Ridge community. Have a wonderful weekend, Toucans!
Warmly,
Dr. Parlar, Principal
Assistant Principal's Corner
At Slate Ridge, every school day counts! Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their learning, classmates, and teachers. We appreciate our families’ partnership in making school attendance a priority and helping students arrive ready to learn each day.
We also want to remind our Toucan Families that safe bus behavior is everyone’s responsibility! Students are expected to follow the bus rules, listen to the driver, remain seated, use respectful language, and keep their hands, feet, and belongings to themselves. Riding the bus is a privilege, and making safe choices helps ensure that everyone gets to and from school safely.
Please be advised that after 6 referrals, a parent meeting will be needed in order for students to continue riding the bus.
Let’s work together to make every day count and every ride a safe one!
Ms. Yeboah
