Family Update
Dublin Jerome High School
DEC. 12 | EMBRACE THE JOURNEY | WEEK 9, QTR. 2
Weekly Message
Good afternoon!
We have made it to the final week of the Semester! The staff and students have been hard at work to complete the semester on a positive trajectory. As we head into exam week, I know that there is uncertainly, anxiety and anticipation. Here are some ideas/talking points to help support your child to prepare for this week:
- Exams are only 10% of the total grade for a course. The other 90% are the two quarter grades.
- The exam schedule is below. We only do two exams a day to provide students time and space to prepare.
- Have good habits: preparation, sleep, and breakfast is a great way to start each day!
- If you have questions or needs, please, contact us, don't wait!
After Monday, our schedule is disrupted and kids are focused on exams. It will be a little different than a normal week and our main focus is exams. If there is a need we will communcate updates as necessary. The main office will bel closed until 1.5.26 but if have a need over the break please feel free to reach out to me. My plan is to share the Family Updates on the following dates: 12/19 and 1/2/26.
Thank you as always for you help and support as we wrap up 2025.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mike
THANKS TO OUR JEROME PTO!
Today our Jerome PTO did their Holiday Cart for the staff today. They took a small idea I had and made it better! We are also grateful to everyone who donated to help make today happen. Our staff is grateful and feel the support from the community!
THE MAIN THINGS!
1. Semester Exam Logistics
Who takes exams: Exams are for year-long courses only.
Attendance: Students are only expected to attend school during their scheduled exam times. They may arrive late or leave early if they have a study hall or a semester-long course.
Supervision: Study areas with supervision will be available for students who wish to remain on campus during gaps in their schedule.
Exceptions: A teacher or administrator will contact the family directly if a student is required to stay for specific reasons.
2. Exam Attendance Procedures (Infinite Campus): Please help us manage attendance by following these guidelines:
Arriving Late: You DO NOT need to enter this into the IC Portal.
Example: Student has a Study Hall Mod 1-2 and arrives for an Algebra Exam Mod 3-4.
Leaving Early: Please SUBMIT the departure time in the IC Portal.
Example: Student finishes Chemistry Exam Mod 5-6 and leaves before Study Hall Mod 7-8.
Sick/Absent: Please SUBMIT the absence in the IC Portal.
