First Charter will be transporting our students via bus to & from the track.

If you DO NOT want your student riding the bus, you will need to send an email to your class teacher and cc the Events & Fundraising Coordinator (sarah.collins@siskiyouschool.org) by Friday, October 29. and opt out in writing. Alternate transportation will need to be made in that case.

We will be running rain or shine!

Please send your student with a rain jacket, an extra outfit and pair of shoes and socks (if you so desire) for when they return to school. We have thin rain ponchos available as well but will run rain or shine! (Within reason, of course)

A huge thank you to SOU for letting us use their incredible track!

SOU is hosting us once again for our Jog-A-Thon. We are so lucky to get to use their beautiful track. Thank you to Lana and Wade's dad, Zack, for making this happen!

How Does The Jog-A-Thon Work?

1) FUNDRAISE!

  • Students (and parents) reach out to family, friends, neighbors and community members and ask for pledges to support them and our school.
  • Pledge money should be recorded on their pledge sheets and money should be collected and put in the envelope.
  • We are asking for flat rate pledges, NOT per lap pledges.
  • Their distance achieved will be recorded and they will strive to beat their best number each year!
  • Sponsors can give online via this link: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/the-siskiyou-school/the-siskiyou-school-s-3rd-annual-jog-a-thon? or by cash or check.

2) Turn in your Pledge Sheet on Friday, November 6 or earlier.

3) Walk, Jog or Run on "Jog Day", KG and 1st on campus, Thurs. November 5 and grades 2-8 on Fri. November 6. Students will be ushered to the designated track at their allotted time via chaperone and given a certain amount of time to do as many laps as possible.

4) CELEBRATE! Time to congratulate the children on all their hard work! Money we raise goes towards: art supplies, specialty classes like Woodshop, the Acorn Program, Handwork and much more!

**Donations may be tax deductible and tax receipts are available upon request.

Gingerbread House Items Needed!

Our Gingerbread House is such a sweet Winter Faire tradition, where the children have a chance to shop for loved ones with the help of a 7th grade elf helper. We need many more items to fill our Gingerbread House. Please bring in your new or gently used items to our front office. Popular items include: jewelry, children’s toys, clean games with all the pieces, art kits, kitchen items, gift sets, crystals, window hangings, home decor, pottery and small pieces of art. This is the perfect chance to regift that candle or birthday gift you’ll never use! Think of things you would want your child to buy for you or their siblings. We are not accepting clothing or shoe donations this year. Thank you!
