πΈ Keeping Our Students Safe
Safety is a shared responsibility. π
Student safety is a shared responsibility, and we are grateful for the support of our SES families.
This year, 48 Grade 4 and 5 students are participating in our AMA School Safety Patrol Program, helping students safely cross at the crosswalks on Addinell Avenue and Anders Street.
We ask all drivers to help keep our students and patrollers safe by:
πΈ Parking at least 5 metres away from crosswalks, intersections, and stop signs.
π Keeping crosswalk areas clear so students and patrollers are visible to drivers.
π Following posted parking signs and slowing down in school zones.
Thank you for helping us create a safe and caring environment for all students.
Together, we can keep our students safe. π
π Remember, Seton... We Lift Each Other Up
Our faith is at the heart of who we are at St. Elizabeth Seton. This space is where we share opportunities to grow in faith, celebrate together, and lift one another up both at school and within our parish community.
Happy Thanksgiving from St. Elizabeth Seton School
Giving Thanks with Grateful Hearts During Our 50th Anniversary Year
Dear St. Elizabeth Seton School Families,
As we prepare for the Thanksgiving long weekend, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the wonderful students, families, and staff who make our school community such a special place of faith, learning, and belonging. In this golden 50th Anniversary year, we are especially mindful of five decades of blessings, friendships, and shared faith that unite our Seton family.
This Thanksgiving, as our school division journeys together Uplifted by Hope, we give thanks for:
Our Generous Community: Thank you to everyone who participated in our "50 Years of Giving" Thanksgiving Food Drive supporting the Red Deer Food Bank. Your kindness brings warmth and comfort to local families in need.
Our Faith & Fellowship: For the joy of coming together in prayer during our Thanksgiving Liturgy and celebrating our Grade 4 students as they receive their Bibles.
Our Dedicated Families & Staff: For your ongoing support, care, and partnership in nurturing our children and helping every student shine.
May your Thanksgiving weekend be filled with warmth, rest, delicious food, and joyful quality time with the people you love. Safe travels to all who are heading away for the long weekend!
With heartfelt gratitude and warm blessings,
Rori-Lynn Daniel
Principal, St. Elizabeth Seton School

Thanksgiving Liturgy
Our SES community gathered to celebrate our Thanksgiving Liturgy, reflecting on the Parable of the Sower and the seeds of faith, hope, and love that God plants in our hearts. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Tidd and 4T for preparing a beautiful celebration of prayer, reflection, and worship. We are also grateful to the families who joined us and continue to nurture the faith life of our school community.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, may we remember the many blessings in our lives and look for ways to share Godβs love with others. Happy Thanksgiving from our SES family to yours!
Grade 4 Bible Celebration
Following our Thanksgiving Liturgy, our Grade 4 students celebrated a special milestone in their faith journey with our Grade 4 Bible Celebration. Receiving their own Bibles is a meaningful reminder that Godβs Word is a gift to guide them, strengthen their faith, and help them grow in love. May these Bibles be a source of wisdom, comfort, and hope as our students continue to discover Godβs presence in their lives. Thank you Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools for our Bibles
π Living Our Faith
π‘οΈ Guardians of Hope This Week: 24 Students Recognized
Each week, we celebrate students who show hope in action by encouraging others, showing kindness, offering help, and finding ways to lift someone up.
We are so proud of our Guardians of Hope! π
These students are helping us live our βRemember, Seton... WE LIFT EACH OTHER UP!β culture in very real ways. π We are proud of the students who are recognized each week and grateful for the many ways they are helping make SES a place where every child knows they belong, they are valued, and they have a voice.
π A Guardian of Hope in Action:
A Grade 4 student was recognized because they offered hope by:Encouraging a classmate to do his work!
π A Prayer from Our Students
Each week, we share a prayer written and read over the morning announcements by one of our students as a reflection of the faith, hope, and care within our SES community.
Dear God,
Thank you for bringing me safely to a new day.
Please help me to be a better listener.
Please watch over my family and keep them safe.
Amen

π Halloween at SES!
Halloween is alive and well at St. Elizabeth Seton! We look forward to a fun day of creativity, costumes and community on Friday, October 30th. Students are invited to wear their costumes to school on this day and will remain in costume throughout the day.
A few reminders to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable day:
- π Choose a costume that is comfortable enough to wear all day and allows your child to participate in Phys. Ed., recess and regular classroom activities.
- π Students who prefer not to wear a costume may wear black and/or orange clothing.
- π Costumes should be able to be managed independently without requiring adult assistance.
- π No masks, please. Makeup is welcome as long as students remain identifiable.
- π« Costumes depicting violence or that are revealing are not appropriate for school.
- π« Fake weapons or props that could be considered weapons should not be brought to school.
- π We encourage our older students to be mindful of how their costume choices may affect younger students and others in our school community.
π And thereβs more!
Classroom teachers will be planning fun Halloween activities for the afternoon. Please watch for more details in the coming weeks through your child's teacher's updates.
With so many creative minds at work, there are limitless ways to have fun with Halloween while keeping our school a safe and welcoming place for everyone!
We can't wait to see the creativity at Seton! ππ§‘
