We were honored to host the Delaware County Reading Olympics, where all three of our teams were victorious and earned blue ribbons. Our students demonstrated commitment and teamwork by collectively reading 45 books in preparation. Thank you to our staff and families for their support, and to our local youth sports organization for adjusting their schedule to accommodate this well-attended event.
We also recognized our Spartans of the Month. This month, our Specials teachers selected students who exemplify our core values: Respect, Ready, Responsible, and Resilient.
Today marked the end of Marking Period 3. When students return on Tuesday, April 7, they will begin Marking Period 4 and receive updated schedules in homeroom. Grades will be available in HAC on Friday, April 10. This next marking period is an important stretch of the school year, and we look forward to a strong finish.
Wishing your family a safe, restful, and enjoyable spring break.
Sincerely,
Ryan Buterbaugh
Principal

F.A.R.E.
Rose Tree Media School District is committed to improving our society today, and for future generations, through outstanding education, awareness, and appreciation of all people. We work to carry out this mission by exhibiting respect for diversity among our student body, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual identity, disability, socioeconomic class, and religion. The mission of F.A.R.E. is to promote and encourage diversity awareness, provide family support, engage in networking, and create deeper unity and understanding within the Rose Tree Media School District and the surrounding community.
Click on the FARE Information document to learn about upcoming opportunities to get involved and meeting information.
Please also refer to the school calendar for meeting dates and any rescheduling.
Cell Phones and Electronic Devices
To keep classrooms focused and learning uninterrupted, all wireless devices, including cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, and similar devices, must be OFF and AWAY during the school day unless a teacher gives a specific academic reason to use them. Students will be reminded each morning to power down their devices.
Please let your child know that you will not be texting or calling during school hours. If a student needs to reach a parent, a staff member can provide permission. In an emergency, the main office is the best way to get in touch. More details are available in the Springton Lake Student Handbook.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, distraction-free learning environment!
