Coach's Corner
This week is equally busy as last week. Tuesday is a half day for Pinnacle and athletes need to check in with their event coaches to know when their specific practices begin. Wednesday is a JV-focused meet and while we may allow some Varsity athletes to attend, the goal is for the majority of our track peeps to shine! Please check Remind for the bus/transportation schedule. Which brings me to the next and most important point: Athletes MUST have a student transportation authorization agreement filed with myself or Coach Shannon. It also MUST be completed. The boosters and coaches have posted these documents and links, QR codes, Reminds to ensure accessibility is simple to these district-required LEGAL documents. There are NO EXCEPTIONS for this expectation. Parents/guardians, with complete respect, please do not attempt to circumvent this process. There are eight coaches that assume responsibility and legal guardianship of your child during their stay with us. Simply handing them over to whomever is convenient for them to travel with is NOT acceptable. Additionally, official documentation is required for your child to come into school and the same is required for them to leave it, prematurely. Please honor the PVUSD expectation. Here is the link to that document. Release for students to leave with guardians Here is the one for them to drive themselves: Students driving themselves
Saturday is the Ron Smith Classic at Shadow Mountain HS. There will be NO transportation scheduled. If athletes need a ride, then they need to reach out to a coach ASAP this week. Asking the day of is nearly impossible to make accommodations.
This past week, there were over 100 PRs (personal records). This team is HOT! The coaches and boosters are super excited for all of the shared success throughout the team. Keep up the incredible effort and performance. As we enter April, we start to taper our season down. We have always been and will continue to be supportive for athletes that are multi-sport involved. However, as we start to draft our post-season athletes, it is extremely important to know who is committed to participate in those post-season games, especially if it involves a relay or they are in a highly-competitive event (within Pinnacle). Please check your calendars and ensure your athlete can attend these meets if they qualify. If you know they cannot, then let us know so we can get the next qualified person registered when that time comes and not time of. It is completely unfair to withhold an athlete an opportunity to compete simply because we were not aware of unavailability from a teammate that earned the spot earlier in the season.
Senior Night and The Pioneer Invitational are coming up quickly. We hope to see you out there supporting through volunteerism. As you know by now, we simply cannot do this without your help!

Volunteering and Donation Expectations and Wishes!
Parents,
We are so excited this season to provide ample opportunities for your athlete to showcase their abilities as a PHS Track and Field Athlete. Almost all of our competitions give your student athlete eligibility potential to qualify for state competition. Regardless of whether or not your athlete makes it to the big show, they get an opportunity to have a Fully Automated Time (FAT) which is the most accurate representation of their efforts during practices. They can track their progress throughout the season and compete with similarly talented athletes across the state. We would love for your direct support or the referral of a sponsor through Booster Membership that could help us obtain some of our wishlist items: see image below!
CLICK HERE to sign up for your season volunteer times! We can't do it without you!
We will occasionally send out personal emails to families who haven't had the opportunity to volunteer! Please try to sign up to avoid getting those friendly nudges :) Volunteering is a great way to help the team and meet other track families!
