If your student is interested in creative writing, please have them join us in Mrs. Banker's room (7th grade hall) on October 9th from 3:15-4:15pm. More info to follow on the 9th!
Team Tressel Fitness Challenge
Our school is proud to participate in the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge, a statewide initiative led by Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. The challenge strives to help students form healthy habits in physical activity, nutrition, and sleep through individual goal setting.
Here’s how it works:
· The challenge will take between now and December, and is intended to be completed outside of school hours.
· Each student had a chance to receive a challenge workbook to guide them through three levels beginning at Bronze, then going on to Silver, and ending at Gold.
· At each level, students will use their workbooks to set personal goals and track progress in the core areas of physical activity, nutrition, and sleep.
· When the challenge is completed, every student participating will receive a certificate signed by Governor DeWine and Lt. Governor Tressel.
The Team Tressel Challenge is purely voluntary. Students who complete each level (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and turn in their workbook when they finish the 60 day challenge will be entered into a drawing for raffle prizes.
I ask that you take a minute to ask your student if they are participating and what goals they are setting for the challenge.
PSAT 8/9 (8th Grade Students)
On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, all 8th-grade students will be offered the free PSAT 8/9 assessment. The PSAT 8/9 is the first assessment in the College Board's SAT Suite offered by Dublin City Schools.
8th grade students who have 1st period classes at Scioto or Emerald Campus will not attend their high school classes on October 7. They should plan to ride the middle school bus to Davis instead.

It's Fall Flushing Season!
The Washington Township Fire Department has begun the process of flushing hydrants around the City. Flushing will happen daily, but there is no exact timing of when it will occur in each neighborhood. Residents may notice rusty or discolored water — just run your faucets until it clears. Also, be careful with laundry during flushing days. The purpose is to remove sediment from our main water lines, which helps maintain water quality and extend the life of hydrants and water lines. It also identifies potential system issues. For questions or concerns, please contact Washington Township Administration at 614-652-3920. Washington Township
