8th graders and families:
It is important to attend school on Thursday, January 23rd. Students will be measured for the graduation cap and gown. After being measured, students will have a meeting with the advisor in the auditorium to go over graduation requirements and behavior expectations for 8th grade activities. On Friday, January 24th, students will be given a letter for graduation for parents to view, sign, and provide the school with the proper name to be placed on the diploma and graduation souvenir pamphlet.
After-School Tutoring Open
We are pleased to inform you that after-school tutoring will begin on Tuesday, January 14th, for all students who have signed up. On that day, students will first go to their lockers and then report to Room 60 after school. Please ensure that rides arrive promptly by 3:45 p.m. at the front of the school for pick-up. As a reminder, tutoring will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, ending at 3:45 p.m., unless otherwise announced. Please note that there will be no tutoring on Wednesday, January 15th; however, tutoring will resume on Thursday, January 16th. If you are interested in your student participating in after-school tutoring, please contact the main office to request a tutoring form.

Attendance Matters!
Attendance Tips: Consider creating a transportation back-up plan to get your child to school can be a lifesaver especially during the winter months when unforeseen issues arise, like inclement weather or car troubles. Carpooling with other parents or establishing a “walking school bus” with other families in your neighborhood can be safe alternatives to ensuring your child gets to school safely every day. No matter the season, regular school attendance is always important.
