Dear Rock Creek Families,

As we enter April, we have some important updates and reminders to share with you.

ISAT Testing Reminder-

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be taking the ISAT soon (see below for specific dates). Here are a few tips to help your child be successful:

  1. Get Enough Sleep: Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep before testing days.
  2. Healthy Breakfast: A nutritious breakfast will keep them energized.
  3. Arrive on Time: Being punctual helps reduce stress.
  4. Stay Positive: Encourage a calm and confident attitude—remind your child to do their best, but not to put too much pressure on themselves.
  5. Test-Taking Tips: Remind them to read questions carefully and pace themselves.

We want our students to try their very best, but it’s also important they understand that the test is just one part of their learning journey. Encourage your child to stay relaxed and approach it with confidence.

Upcoming Events-

Please check the school calendar for upcoming field trips, family nights, and other exciting activities. If you’d like to attend a field trip with your child, please ensure your background check is submitted in advance. This is required for all volunteers.

Kindergarten Registration-

April kicks off Kindergarten Registration month for the 25-26 School Year. This is a really exciting time for our newest Rock Creek Raptors. We will be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, April 23rd from 4:00-5:30 PM in the Gym. Meet the teachers, check out the classrooms, and get your very own Roc Creek t-shirt. Follow the link HERE for more important information.

A Big Thank You!

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to all those who donated food for our PTO Nacho Bar Dinner on March 19th. Your generosity made the event a great success, and we appreciate your support in making these community events possible!

Thank you for your continued support. We’re looking forward to the rest of the school year and are here to help your child succeed!

Warm regards,

Mrs. Gebbie

Tardy Wars for 4th & 5th Grade Classes

The 4th and 5th Grade Tardy Wars are officially underway! Each class is competing to have the fewest tardies, and the stakes are high!

Here are the matchups:

  • Mrs. Glasheen’s class vs. Mrs. Howe’s
  • Mrs. O’Connor’s class vs. Mrs. Corn’s
  • Mrs. Green’s class vs. Mrs. Rieth’s
  • Mrs. Chocker’s class vs. Mrs. Castro’s

Each week, the class with the fewest tardies gets to steal a piece off their competitor’s Attendance Tater! Help your child’s class win by ensuring they arrive on time each day.

Let’s build great habits and have some fun!
