Halloween Shenanigans
From baseball’s 3rd Annual Pumpkin Classic to another year of Spooky Soccer and our staff-themed costumes, there was plenty of fun to be had across Jag Nation! 🎃⚽👻
We loved seeing our Jags get into the holiday spirit and celebrate the season with so much enthusiasm, creativity, and Jaguar pride! 🐾🧡
Octobers Counselor's Choice Awards
Haley Pappajohn
Mrs. Pappajohn welcomes her high school CTE students each day with a positive attitude, warm smile, and encouraging spirit. She creates a welcoming classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to learn, grow, and prepare for their future careers. Thank you, Mrs. Pappajohn, for all you do for FMHS!
Michael Horstmeyer
Our counseling team is excited to recognize a teacher who makes a lasting impact on both students and colleagues. He is well-liked and respected by staff and students alike. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every student feels supported and is encouraged to reach their fullest potential. One of the greatest testaments to his impact is seeing students who once felt intimidated by the thought of taking Chemistry finish the course describing it as one of the most fun classes they’ve ever taken! His ability to build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and make learning an engaging and positive experience makes him truly deserving of this recognition. Thank you, Mr. Horstmeyer!

❗Before You Leave Home for an Event at FMHS❗
- Bring a clear bag (or no bag)
- Remove/store metal items you don’t need
- If bringing water, make sure it’s clear and factory-sealed
Weapon Detectors at All Gates
Everyone entering the stadium will pass through a weapon detector. These non-weapon items commonly trigger detectors—please plan accordingly:
- Large key rings, keychains, car fobs
- Umbrellas (metal spines)
- Portable chargers/power banks, cords, headphones
- Laptops/tablets, cameras, binoculars
- Belts with large metal buckles, metal accessories/jewelry
- Makeup compacts/tools with metal components
Tip: Hand metal items to personnel doing the screening as you walk through the detector. This should help keep lines moving
No Outside Food or Drinks
- No outside food or drink is allowed.
- Water only: You may bring one clear, unopened plastic water bottle per person.
- Concessions will be available inside the stadium.
FMHS & FM9 SCHOOL POLICIES
Parent Drop Off / Pick Up Reminders!
Please be aware that the following locations are 🚫CLOSED TO PARENT🚫 vehicles for drop off or pick up on all school days.
- 🔴Front office loop off of Peter's Colony(across the street from the tennis courts)
- 🔴Bus Loop off of Old Settlers(cafeteria entrance)
- 🔴The alley/dumpster area between the North Field House and the Gyms - there is heavy student foot traffic and delivery trucks in this area.
This is a safety concern for the buses as well as the front office location which is for visitors or students being dropped off that have an injury/disability which requires the use crutches, wheelchairs, etc.
Thank you for your help - FMHS Admin

🚨 Attention, Hungry Students! 🚨
We know… nothing hits like a hot, delicious food delivery in the middle of the school day. But unfortunately, FMHS has a strict NO FOOD DELIVERIES policy—meaning no DoorDash, no Uber Eats, no secret pizza drop-offs, and no drone-delivered burritos.
Why? Because our front office is a school, not a food court, and our staff is here to help with learning, not to play air traffic control for delivery drivers.
So, pack your lunch, enjoy the cafeteria options, or perfect your “trading skills” with your friends. Just don’t try to sneak in a sandwich unless you’re ready to explain to your assistant principal why your “group project” is suddenly from Chick-fil-A. 🍔🚫
Stay full, stay focused, and save the fast-food feasting for after school!
NO Personal Communication Devices During the School Day
The Texas Legislature passed HB 1481 in the 89th Legislative Session that prohibits the use of personal communication devices during the school day for all students.
Personal communication devices include smartphones, flip phones, smartwatches, tablets, radios, pagers, or any other device capable of telecommunications that was not issued by the District for instructional use.
Details:All students in all grades will be required to keep cell phones and personal communication devices silenced, out of sight, and stored in a backpack, locker, or purse, etc. from the time they arrive on campus until the dismissal bell. Devices may not be used at any time during the school day, including during passing periods, or lunch, while on school property.
