Our faculty and staff are eagerly preparing to welcome students back for what promises to be another outstanding year of academic excellence, student involvement, and Bearcat pride. We look forward to partnering with our students and families as we continue our commitment to helping every student grow, achieve, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

This is an especially exciting year for Aledo High School as we begin a new chapter in our history. With our move to UIL 6A and district realignment, our students will have the opportunity to compete against new schools while continuing the tradition of excellence that defines Aledo. We are confident our students, staff, and community will embrace these new opportunities and proudly represent Bearcat Nation.

We are also excited to introduce several enhancements designed to better meet the needs of our students. Our updated bell schedule provides greater flexibility throughout the school day, allowing students more opportunities to personalize their learning experience. In addition, we continue to expand our Grad My Way program, including increased access to our Virtual Anywhere course offerings. These innovative learning opportunities provide students with greater flexibility while preparing them for the independence and expectations they will encounter in college, the military, and future careers.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, there is a tremendous sense of excitement and optimism across our campus. We believe this will be one of the best years in Aledo High School's history, and we are grateful for the continued support of our families and community.

To stay connected throughout the year, we encourage you to read our weekly electronic newsletter, The Weekly Update, and follow Aledo High School on Facebook for the latest news, celebrations, student achievements, and a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible things happening on our campus. Together, we look forward to making the 2026–2027 school year a memorable and successful one for every Bearcat.

Senior parking - Painting will ONLY take place from 7 am-10 pm Wednesday, August 5th through Sunday, August 9th.

SENIOR RESERVED PARKING INFORMATION

Please visit the AHS Campus website starting at 12 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, July 22nd and click on the AHS Event Box Office link found on the Parent & Student Resources Page of the website. If a parent is reserving the space, please have your student’s ID number. If spaces sell out, additional space will be made available.

RESERVED PARKING POLICIES

Reserving and painting a parking space is a privilege. Failure to abide by these policies and the AHS Student Parking Rules and Compliance Requirements will result in a revocation of parking privileges. Parking spaces are reserved ONLY for school days from 6:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Some reserved spaces are restricted all day during home football games and playoff games scheduled at Bearcat Stadium and all senior parking spaces may not be available during special events.

All artwork MUST be approved prior to painting by the campus administration. The entire parking space can be painted; however, no artwork will be permitted on the striping or numbering of the parking space. The artwork shall be in good taste and school appropriate. All AISD policies and codes of conduct apply. The following is not allowed:

  • Anything obscene, profane, vulgar or lewd.

  • Any symbols, advertisements, initials, abbreviations, words, slogans or pictures that refer to drugs or controlled substances, tobacco, alcohol, weapons or are of a sexual nature.

  • Any denotations of affiliation with gangs or which advocate drug use, alcohol, violence, illegal activity, or disruptive behavior which is detrimental to the safety and welfare of other students.

  • Anything that threatens the safety or welfare of any person.

Students must submit artwork via this link for administrative approval. Submissions will begin to be accepted on July 23rd and must be submitted by August 1st to allow time for approval before painting begins.

Students may pick up parking permits at the Bearcats Are Back senior event on Tuesday August 4th from 1:30-6:30pm at AHS. Please bring your electronic receipt from hometown ticketing, along with a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance certificate listing the student as a covered driver to get your permit.

Painting will ONLY take place from 7 am-10 pm Wednesday, August 5th through Sunday, August 9th. The parking spaces will be prepped to include a base layer on previously painted spots. All painting should be completed by the evening of Sunday, August 9th. AHS lots will be open on Monday, August 10th for various campus activities.

Students provide their own paint and equipment and must bring something to put paint/supplies on during the painting process to prevent runoff into general parking/traffic areas. Suggested tools: broom, paint roller, pan, brushes, and painter’s tape. OIL-BASED is highly recommended as other paits will not last. Paint can be used and must be in the original labeled container. No concrete or latex paint permitted. These supplies can be hard to find - start shopping as soon as possible.

Students must clean up thoroughly after painting. Aledo ISD will not dispose of paint, however disposal areas will be available on-site for all other supplies. Unused paint must return home with the student.

Any intentional vandalism or destruction of other students’ parking space will result in a loss of parking privileges for the year, a DAEP placement to start the year, and possible criminal prosecution.
