US News and World Report Ranks Spencer #1 Elementary School in Ohio!
In case you didn't catch the email on Tuesday, we have very exciting news to share! Please see that email below:
I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with our school community! U.S. News & World Report has recently published its rankings for Ohio Elementary Schools, and Spencer Center has been named the #1 elementary school in the state!
This recognition is a direct reflection of the incredible dedication and hard work of our faculty and staff, our amazing students, and our supportive families who continue to show up and put in the work every single day. This achievement is truly hard-earned, and we could not be prouder to celebrate it with all of you.
In addition to our five-star rating on the Ohio State Report Card, this national ranking serves as a public celebration of what a special and talented school community we have built together.
For context, US News reports that rankings are determined by the following methodology:
“The rankings use the same methodology for all included grade levels. For each state, schools were assessed on their students' performance on mathematics and reading/language arts state assessments. Half of the formula assessed the scores themselves (the “performance index”) and the other half incorporated the test results in the context of socioeconomic characteristics. In other words, the top-ranked schools are all high-achieving and have succeeded at educating all their students.”
Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and dedication to our students and school.
