Illinois Youth Survey is coming March 12 for Sophomores and Seniors
Each year, District 211 schools partner with the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Center for Prevention Research and Development at the University of Illinois to conduct the Illinois Youth Survey. The survey is administered in schools across Illinois, and is designed to gather information about a variety of health and social indicators including substance abuse and perceptions, bullying, school climate, nutrition and physical activity. Survey results are provided to schools and evaluated to develop strategies and programs to improve support options available to students.
Student survey responses are confidential and no personally identifiable information is collected during the survey process. Parents and guardians have the option to request that their student not participate in this survey. This may have already been done, as information about this survey and the ability to opt-out was included in the registration process parents completed at the beginning of the school year. If parents would like to request that sophomore or senior student not participate in the survey, and they have not already done so, please complete and turn in the paper form to Student Services that can be found using this link.
More information about the Illinois Youth Survey, including a parent notification letter from the Center for Prevention Research and Development at the University of Illinois and the questions that are included in the survey, are available using the links below.
