What's Happening in Music
Have you ever heard of Pumpkin Bones? Well, he is the catalyst for our upcoming food drive. You see, Pumpkin Bones stole our pumpkins from our classroom, and he promised to return them if we bring in food donations in exchange for the pumpkins.
We are collecting for Heart to Heart, a local, community-focused food pantry that does year-round collections as well as packages for Thanksgiving meals.
Here is a list of items they are requesting this year:
For Thanksgiving Packages
Canned Green Beans
Stuffing Mix (Box or bag)
Cream of mushroom soup
Broth (Chicken or Turkey)
Fried Onions
Canned Sweet Potatoes
Canned Cranberry Sauce
Egg Noodles
Gravy (Chicken or Turkey)
Year-round needs
Peanut Butter and Jelly
Canned Soup
Baby Wipes & Diapers
Toiletries (soap, lotion, etc.)
Pet food
We’ll collect through November 10th. Donations can be dropped off in the main entrance or by the 3rd grade doors.

Artist Visit-November 9
We are excited to welcome New York City Pop Artist and Author Michael Albert to Tremont on November 9th.
Albert's use of recycled cereal boxes and other consumer packaging is bold, colorful and sustainable, creating art that he has named "Cerealism".
Students will hear Mr. Albert speak, and then work during their art class to create their own "pop art". Each class will be collaborating with the artist on a whole school 75th Anniversary art piece, "75 words for 75 years of Tremont".
To prepare, please encourage your students to bring in their empty packaging from cereal boxes and the like (collapsed) and put them in the donation boxes located outside of Mrs. Masters' art room and in the main lobby of our school.
A very big THANK YOU to the Upper Arlington Education Foundation for making this visit possible!
If you would like to explore more about the artist and his work, please visit his website:
Bus Transportation Reminders
As a reminder, students may only ride the bus to which they are assigned. Students are not permitted to ride home on another student’s bus for playdates, after-school activities, or other arrangements.
This week, our Transportation Department will be conducting AM and PM student counts, so it is especially important that students ride their assigned buses.
Previously established transportation arrangements, such as a regular bus stop for a sitter that has been scheduled since the beginning of the year, may continue as usual.
Thank you for helping us keep our transportation procedures safe and organized!
Early Release-Thursday, October 22nd-11am
Please note there is a misprint on the Nutritional Services Lunch Menu for October. There will be no lunch service on Thursday, October 22nd, due to early release.
There will also be NO SACC for the early release on the 22nd as well.
Help us Honor Veterans
As we approach Veterans' Day, we want to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. If you have a veteran in your life—whether a family member, friend, or loved one—we invite you to share their story with us.
Please use this form to submit a short description about your veteran, with their name, branch of service, and the name of who they are related to at Tremont. Please upload a photo of your veteran so we can include it in our memorial slide show.
If able, your veteran is invited to join us for our Mane Event on November 5th at 9am and a reception afterwards.
All submissions will be included in our Veterans' Day recognition efforts to help our community remember and honor the service and sacrifice of our heroes.
Submissions are due by October 22nd
Thank you for helping us pay tribute to those who have served!

Hello Tremont Families!
We hope everyone enjoyed the Walk-A-Thon and Fall Fest last week! We wanted to share our thanks and congratulations to everyone who helped make this year’s events fun, special and successful!
With your incredible support we raised more than $35,000!
Walk-a-Thon exceeded our goal, raising $22,000 and Fall Fest raised $12,785. Additionally, to date we have secured $25,275 in local business sponsorships to help support PTO-led efforts throughout the year.
Thank you to our students, families, and friends for your effort and enthusiasm that made these events so successful! We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and supportive school community!
It truly takes a village to bring these events to life:
From our wonderful event partners that provide fun activities and treats, to our teachers and staff that support many behind the scenes details, to our incredible parent volunteers who give their time in many different capacities to support the details of these events, and last but not least, our dedicated committees that drive the overall planning and execution of both events.
We appreciate everyone’s time, energy, and investment to make it happen!
Through the success of these events and the generosity of our sponsors, our PTO is kicking off the year with fantastic momentum to help us support the initiatives we fund for our students and staff.
With sincere gratitude and Tremont PRIDE,
Kate Hare, President
Amanda Hicks and Kelly Van Buren (Walkathon Co-Chairs)
Alison Lopriore and Bethany Prill (Fall Fest Co-Chairs)
