Please take a moment to review and follow the parking expectations around the school, watch carefully for students and pedestrians, and follow all designated drop-off and pick-up procedures. Wilson Weekly Shout Outs!!

Fun things going on around the school

Remembrance Day Reflection

A heartfelt thank you to our Grade 5 students for putting together such a meaningful and respectful Remembrance Day ceremony. We are so proud of the time, effort, and thought they put into helping our school community honour and remember the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

We would also like to thank all the parents and family members who joined us for this special occasion. Your presence and support helped make the ceremony even more meaningful for our students.

It is important we continue to teach our children the significance of Remembrance Day and the importance of honouring the sacrifices made for our freedom. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a memorable day for our school community. Lest we forget.

Diwali Club

We had the opportunity to have a guest in our grade 4 classroom this week to share some things with us and our Diwali Club.

Wow Time with Mme Wade

We are excited to introduce Classroom Champions at our school this year!

This program connects students with elite athlete mentors through fun lessons and activities focused on goal setting, perseverance, leadership, and emotional regulation.

During WOW Time, students will watch short videos, participate in discussions, and complete activities that help build these important life skills.

Our athlete mentor is Bradley Kamdem, a professional soccer player with Calgary's Cavalry FC! Bradley grew up playing soccer in Calgary, went on to play professionally in Canada and the United States, and had the opportunity to play internationally in Malta. One of his proudest accomplishments was winning the 2024 Canadian Premier League Championship with Cavalry FC.

Students will also have two exciting opportunities to connect with Bradley live through Zoom, once in December and again in the spring. They will be able to ask him questions and learn more about his journey as a professional athlete.

We are looking forward to this exciting opportunity for our students to learn, grow, and be inspired!
