Dear Johnsville Families,

Welcome to our 2026-27 school year! We hope you have had a great summer and an enjoyable time with family and friends. The time has come to start our preschool routines: classroom placement, open house, meeting your new teacher, reconnecting with friends, and enjoying one last 3-day weekend before we welcome you back for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8.

Classroom/Teacher Placement:

All families received a very similar message early in the week. Here are some quick updates:

For all families with children in grades K-5, teacher placement is now live and finalized as much as possible in ParentVue (link). We did make several changes so please make sure that you log in to view your student's teacher through ParentVue --> "Student Info" tab. If you have questions, please call our front office at (763) 506-3000. Please note that classroom placements are finalized. However, in an attempt to keep classrooms balanced we will now call individual families if we need to make last minute adjustments based on new enrollments or drops at Johnsville Elementary.

Reminder for Kindergarten Families ONLY:

Once you know your child's teacher (link above), then click on My Conference Time link to schedule a 30-minute conference with your child's teacher. There is NO SCHOOL for kindergarteners on these two days (September 8 and September 9), but students are invited to attend the conference with their parents. Students in kindergarten will begin in a phased approach:

• Students with last names beginning with A-L attend on Thursday, September 10
• Students with last names beginning with M-Z attend on Friday, September 11
• ALL kindergarten students will attend school together beginning Monday, September 14

Johnsville Open House 2026

Johnsville Open House is on Wednesday, September 2 from 4:00pm-5:30pm. Our Jaguar Staff is excited to meet you! We are asking that if your child's last name begins A-L to come from 4:00pm-4:45pm and families with last names beginning M-Z to come from 4:45pm-5:30pm. Also, parking is always a challenge when we host larger events like Open House. If your family is able to walk, I would recommend that option. We will have Door 1 (main entrance off Main Street) and Door 8 (Polk St.) along with Doors 4 and 6 (north entrances) open for the event. The main lot, Polk St. loop, bus loop, and our west and north neighborhood streets can all be used for parking.

Johnsville Open House is an event to welcome you, for you to meet your child's teacher, get to know the building, and to check out the many extra activities that our Johnsville/Blaine community offers like PTO, volunteering, athletics, and A+, to name a few. We look forward to meeting you for the first time and/or welcoming you back for another year! We welcome you to the 2026-27 school year!

Next week, there will be messaging sent about our Johnsville Arrival/Dismissal procedures, specifically, for our parent drop-off and pick-ups, along with some things to get us ready for the first week of school.
