Hello Bywood Families!
We are off to a great start this school year already! All of our beginning of the year testing has been completed and teachers are working hard to plan small groups based around the data and information from those tests. I have been so excited to go in and see all the great things teachers are doing using this information.
In the month of October we celebrate Fire Prevention Month and had a surprise visit from the Fire Department to practice a fire drill. The staff and students did a great job and the fire department was impressed with how well everyone did.
Please make sure your child is doing their homework every night. It is so important that they continue practicing at home. I appreciate all your help with this!

The first grade team won the silver spoon for the cafeteria!
Ms. Trainer's class got a special silver award!
Mrs. Lewis accepted the silver award for Room 209!
Mrs. Finley's fifth grade won the library award!
Mrs. Metzger's fourth grade class won a silver award!

Students and teachers participated in a fun minute to win it activity!
Students in fourth and fifth got a special treat from a substitute who plays basketball overseas!
He even showed the students how to dunk a basketball!
