Dear Crossroads Families,

My name is Aleisha Tutterrow, and I am honored and excited to officially join the Crossroads Elementary team as a new Assistant Principal! I am genuinely looking forward to connecting with all of you and contributing to the success and well-being of every student in our wonderful community.

For the past six years, I have had the privilege of teaching within the Wentzville School District. My passion lies in creating vibrant environments where every child can shine academically, socially, and emotionally! I wholeheartedly believe that a strong school thrives on a strong community, and I am dedicated to building meaningful connections.

On a personal note, my husband and I are the proud parents of two fantastic boys, ages 13 and 10, along with our energetic Boston Terriers! Education runs deep in our family, as my husband is also a teacher and coach in the district. We love sports, exploring new destinations through travel, and enjoying a good movie together.

I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and months—whether at school events, community gatherings, or around town. Please don’t hesitate to reach out or introduce yourself; I would love to connect!

Here’s to an exciting year ahead!

Sincerely,
Aleisha Tutterrow

Meet the Teacher Night Meet the Teacher Night

We understand and appreciate how much our students and staff look forward to back-to-school events like meet-the-teacher night. These opportunities to connect are important for many reasons. Not only do they serve as an introduction for students and families to their teachers and school staff, but they also allow families to explore the classroom, locate student desks, and meet new friends.

Meet-the-Teacher Night will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. This event is for all kindergarten through fifth grade students and their families. This is a time for you and your child to meet the teacher, drop off school supplies, and get familiar with the classroom.

Please note: this is not a time for individual conferences or detailed discussions about your child. If you’d like to share specific information or speak with your child’s teacher, we encourage you to reach out via email to schedule a time to connect.

Welcome Back, Corgis!

We’re excited to begin another school year! The Crossroads Elementary PTA is a group of parents and staff who work together to enhance students’ academic experience and support our school community.

Membership carries no obligation, but we hope you’ll attend meetings and share your voice. Our first general PTA meeting is scheduled for Sept. 9, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the CRE library.

Volunteer - The PTA is planning a full year of fun, family-oriented events. We’re always in need of volunteers to help plan, set up, participate in, and clean up at events. We know everyone’s time is limited — every bit helps.

Corgi Store - Interested in spirit wear? The online Corgi Store is always open: Visit the Corgi Store

Items will also be available for purchase during Meet-the-Teacher Night.

Arrival and Dismissal - Please Read Carefully Arrival and Dismissal - Please Read Carefully

All car riders and daycare van riders will go to the gym at the end of the day. Once in the gym, a staff member will call students’ names over the radio for them to come out to meet their vehicle. A staff member will escort students to each car.

Important: Parents are no longer allowed to walk up to pick up their children. Please use the car pick-up line.

Bright blue car tags will be distributed at Meet-the-Teacher Night. If you are unable to attend, tags will be sent home with students on the first day of school. Please check with the office if you need a car tag. USE A THICK MARKER TO FILL THESE OUT.

When driving through the car lanes, please display the bright blue car tag on your dashboard where names can be easily seen. If you do not have a car tag, staff will need to check your ID, contact the office for clearance, and then call your child. This process slows down pick-up for everyone.

A few additional reminders:

  • Dismissal changes will not be accepted after 3 p.m.

  • Student safety is our top priority. Because 3:20 p.m. is a busy time, we cannot allow office checkouts after 3:20 p.m. Please plan accordingly.

  • If your child is a walker but will become a car rider due to inclement weather, you are responsible for notifying the school. We no longer send text messages about rainy-day dismissals.

All parents are expected to have the bright blue car tags ready by Aug. 20.

Please review the arrival and dismissal maps below:
