Dear Champion Families,

We hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer! We are so excited to welcome our Champion students back for a fantastic new school year at Chattahoochee! We have heard you loud and clear; communication is so important to the success of our school community. To ensure that our home-school connection remains strong, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new communication tools.

Parent Square will be replacing Talking Points for two-way communication between teachers and parents. This platform has translation capabilities and comes in an app as well as text messaging.

PBIS Rewards will remain the platform for communication of Champion of behavior .

Canvas pages will be used by teachers to communicate weekly academic content, assignments and resources.

IC Messenger will be used by FCS and CHA to communicate brief, timely information for parents and guardians. These messages will come via email and text.

Champion CHATT will provide monthly news and updates for our Chattahoochee Champion community. A link to the newsletter will be provided via Parent Square and highlighted on Facebook with a video message from the administration.

ATTENTION: Please update Parent Portal contact information. ALL communication tools will send information to those contacts listed as #1 and #2 in the Parent Portal. For additional assistance with Parent Portal, please visit the cafeteria during Open House.

In 2026-27, we will focus on the Power of Mattering. As a community, we will ensure we feel seen, heard, affirmed and needed. At Chattahoochee Elementary School….YOU MATTER! We appreciate your partnership and look forward to seeing you at Open House next week!

Come enjoy breakfast and get FREE resources to start the year off in a great way: school supplies, sports physicals, haircuts, shoes, backpacks, snacks and food, hygiene items, and other community resources!

It's time to meet your teacher and get ready for a great school year! We look forward to seeing you at our Open House on Tuesday, August 4.

• 1st-5th Grades:

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for an amazing school year! We loved hearing that so many of our students stayed sharp this summer by working on their QUICK Learning Workbook. If your child completed their workbook, please have them return it to their homeroom teacher during August to earn a special prize! We are so proud of our Champions and can't wait to celebrate all they'll accomplish this year!

We are excited to welcome our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) to Chattahoochee after Labor Day!

Watch D.O.G.S. are wonderful male role models such as dads, uncles, brothers, grandpas, etc. who come spend time with us during our day! Watch D.O.G.S. serve in many different ways including reading to students, engaging in a variety of activities during our Pathways classes, enjoying lunch with their child, playing with students during recess, serving as lunch monitors in our cafeteria, opening car doors for students in our car line, and supporting small group learning fun in our classrooms.

We will be having Watch D.O.G.S. at Chattahoochee on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Look for more information about being a Watch D.O.G.S. and to sign up coming soon!

• Notifying the School of Absences
  Parent/guardian must submit a Digital Absence Form, linked here and notify the child's homeroom teacher.
• Excusing Absences
  Submit a written note, email, fax, or Digital Absence Form within 5 school days of the absence. Messages sent in Parent Squared can not be accepted as an excuse note.
• Early Check-Out
  For an early check-out to be excused, an excuse note must be received within 5 school days of the check-out. To be counted present for the entire day, students must remain at school until 11:00. No check-outs after 2:00 PM.
• Tracking Attendance Online
  Tracking your child’s attendance can be done through Parent Portal. For password information, please come into the school and present identification and we will request an activation email for you.
