NPHS, TOHS & WHS Unified Sports Celebrate Unity Day with Unity Games Event
Thousand Oaks High, Newbury Park High, and Westlake High were all recently named 2025 National Banner Unified Champion Schools by Special Olympics North America. This honor celebrates their commitment to inclusion by meeting ten standards of excellence. They exhibit inclusive school climates that embody a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect for all through programs like Unified Sports and whole-school engagement, and we could not be prouder.
Building Connections to Future Careers: Healthcare Summit is Hosted by CTE
The event offered students a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts through a keynote address, a moderated panel on post-secondary programs, certifications, and degrees, engaging healthcare career workshops, and information tables where they connected directly with professionals in the field. The goal was to inspire and expand students' understanding of future career opportunities that match their interests, while building meaningful connections with their peers, local organizations and educational institutions.
This event was organized by the District's Career Education Coordinators in partnership with the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and California Lutheran University. A big thank you to the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and CLU for their partnership in making this event a reality!
