Principal Memo
Good evening Falcon Families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Goal Setting Conferences. We truly appreciate your partnership in your child’s educational journey. I also want to thank Mrs. Erich, Mrs. Clima, Mrs. Cummings, and Mrs. Kuljis for organizing our Kindergarten through 2nd Grade Literacy Night. We hope those of you who attended had fun and learned a few new ideas to try at home to support your child’s love of literacy.
I hope to see you all tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, at our Monster Boogie Bash from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., The Costume Parade will begin at 5:30. We have a lot of new features this year, so come ready to have a good time! There is still time to sign up to volunteer, even if it is for the cleanup crew, because no help is too small. Shifts are only 30 minutes, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities with family and friends. We have seen so many new faces helping out this year, and we are excited to see what happens when we all come together as a community.
Speaking of volunteering, I want to remind everyone that our Volunteer Requirements are now in effect. These requirements do not apply to community events like the Boogie Bash that whole families attend, but they are required for any activities with students during the school day. Volunteers may not begin until they receive notice that all of their requirements have been met. Please plan ahead, as there is a lag between when fingerprinting is completed and when we are notified that it has cleared.
Looking ahead, after much discussion, Fammatre will hold a Costume Parade on Friday, October 30, following our morning assembly. Costumes may not be bloody or scary, and students should not wear masks or bring accessories. Once the parade is finished, students may remove any cumbersome or restrictive parts of their costume and place them in their backpacks. I would hate for costumes to be ruined or missing pieces before Halloween!
Finally, there are two ways to make your voice heard. Please take a moment to vote for our new School Site Council members. We are also hoping more parents will join our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). If your child speaks, or is exposed to, more than one language at home, please reach out to me to learn more about how you can help.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Fammatre community.
Sincerely,
Samantha Haley

Monster Boogie Bash - October 17 from 5PM-8PM
Get Ready to Boogie—The Monster Boogie Bash is Tomorrow!
The wait is almost over! Dust off your costumes, gather the family, and join us tomorrow, Saturday, October 17th, for a spooktacular day of fun, games, and community. Admission is completely free, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Before you head out the door tomorrow, here is your quick, updated checklist of what you need to know:
Tickets, Wristbands & Activities
Get your wristbands and tickets at the door: Since advance sales have closed, you can purchase your wristbands and tickets directly at the event. We recommend 1 wristband per child + 10–15 tickets to experience all the activities.
Lizard Lady Show: Kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that adults will also need to purchase a ticket to attend this show.
Food Vendors: Food trucks and vendors will handle their own payments directly, so you do not need tickets for food!
Back Gate Entry: Head into the event from the back entrance by the Price parking lot.
Heat Advisory & Canopy Request!
It is looking like we are going to have a very warm and sunny day tomorrow! To help keep all of our families, volunteers, and little monsters cool and comfortable during the event, we need some extra shade:
Lend us your pop-up canopies or shade structures: If you have an outdoor canopy or EZ-Up tent that we can borrow, please bring it to the school in advance of the event today or early tomorrow morning.
Please label your gear: Make sure your name and phone number are clearly marked on your canopy/bag so we can safely return it to you after the event.
Volunteer & Help Your Teachers Win!
We still need your hands to make this event a success! Event shifts have been shortened to just 30 minutes, making it easy to help out and still enjoy the bash.
Arrive early: If you have signed up for a shift, please arrive 5 minutes before your start time to ensure a smooth, seamless transition for the volunteers before you.
Honor your commitment: We deeply appreciate everyone honoring their signed-up slots. Your reliability ensures we don't have to scramble to find emergency staffing onsite or be forced to close down fun activities.
Adult Volunteer Sign Up (Fingerprinting is not required!)
Teacher Prize Challenge: Help your child's teacher win a special prize! Every teacher who has at least 3 volunteer slots filled and completed by their class families will receive a prize.
We can't wait to see you there for a spooktacular time!
