Hello QE Families!

What a wonderful and productive week it has been at our school! We kicked off the week on Monday with a dedicated professional development day for teachers, where staff engaged in learning strategies to support our students’ continued academic achievement and growth. On Tuesday, our students did an incredible job during our security drill, demonstrating QE PRIDE as we practiced our emergency responses together. My heart was filled with joy yesterday thanks to all the thoughtful and special birthday wishes from our students—I am truly so honored to serve as their principal!

Looking ahead to this evening, despite the rainy forecast, we are so excited to see everyone come together and have fun at our annual Trunk or Treat PIE event. We hope to see you there!

Dr. B’s Top 3 Showing Pride at QE

Each week, Dr. Bubser was looking for QE Pride (Perseverance, Respect, Control, Dependability, and Effort). Check out the top three from last week!

We have a kindergarten student named Hunter who showed incredible kindness when he saw that another student needed a little help learning the lesson. The other student was eager to share how helpful Hunter was and how much he appreciated him. Way to show QE PRIDE Hunter!

I’m excited to give a shout-out to more kindergarten students for showing QE PRIDE. I observed a UFLI lesson in Mrs. Germani’s class and would you believe that the entire class showed effort and perseverance? They listened, they worked hard throughout the lesson, and if they made mistakes they just kept trying. Amazing QE PRIDE to Mrs. Germani’s entire class!

Grace in Mrs. Coggins’ class has been exceptional in the cafeteria. She has been a role model, nice to everyone, and includes everyone in the conversation. What a great friend. Thank you Grace for being respectful and a dependable friend to all.

Progress reports

First-Trimester Progress Reports will be emailed home on Wednesday, 10/21. The report serves the purpose of answering this important question: “Is my child on track at this point in the year?” This Progress Report is NOT a report card, but rather a quick, informal snapshot of your child’s academic progress in each content area. You will also see their progress with College and Career Skills. The Progress Report also serves the purpose of providing you with current information before the upcoming parent/teacher conferences.

Get Ready for the QE Fall Parade and Celebrations

We are excited to announce details for our annual Fall Parade and classroom celebrations on Friday, October 30th! This is always a memorable day for our students, and we want to ensure everything runs smoothly so they can show off their creative costumes. This year, in our new location, our parade will start at 1:00PM and will be held outside on the track. The track is located behind the Sixth Grade Center. Parents are invited to find a parking spot and then gather outside the track fence to cheer our students on. Students will return to the building after the parade and will not be excused to leave early from school. They will continue with their day after the parade.

Please remember that all students must bring their costumes in a labeled bag to school. Costumes should be easy to put on over regular school clothes as students will be changing quickly prior to the parade. Click here for detailed information including costume guidelines (no violent themes or props).

Thank you for helping us make this a safe and successful day of fun!

We Want to Hear From You!

As part of our ongoing effort to support our QE students and families, we are asking parents/guardians to complete a brief survey. Your feedback helps us determine how we share information, identify areas of strength, and better understand ways we can continue to improve our support for students and families.

Please click the link below to complete the survey. It should only take a few minutes, and your input is greatly appreciated!

QE students are taught to persevere, show respect, be in control, show dependability, and show effort in all school and life endeavors. We believe every child is a valued and treasured member of our school family. You can trust that we are fully committed to ensuring your child feels respected, safe, and supported in their growth. When families, educators, staff, and students work hand-in-hand, we create the strongest path for our children to thrive and achieve their highest potential.
