Central Elementary Bits and Bites

CES will host their annual Halloween Parade following morning announcements at 7:55am- parents are welcome to join us in the gym!

After the parade, students will change out of their costumes- please have a change of clothes and a bag to take home costumes in backpacks.

Party Times:

PreK 3- 10:00-10:30am

PreK 4-6th Grade- 2:45pm-3:30pm

Families, as we begin to prepare for our students' Halloween Costumes, please remember to keep them school appropriate. Students will not be able to dress in anything bloody or gory, and please refrain from bringing anything that represents a weapon. Students will need to change into regular school clothes after our Halloween Parade in the morning. Thank you!

Central Elementary teachers have mapped and created a guide to share with parents and families of what students are learning in their classrooms. Teachers use this tool to help plan for the entire school year. With all well intended plans, things will come up and the timelines will shift a bit. We hope that you can use this tool to have more information when talking to your children about what they are learning in school. It takes strong partnerships between school and home to support our students and their learning goals- we always appreciate the support for academic achivement from you all!

The church has gently used sports gear for free or exchange (as kids grow) There are cleats, bats, gloves, pants, etc. Parents can text Pam Jones or 316.323.7083 or Tara Woods 316.213.3720 to set up a time to shop.

To select Central Elementary School (located in Burden, KS) for the Dillons Community Rewards program, you need to link your Dillons Plus Shopper's Card to the school through your digital account. Every time you shop, a portion of your spending will automatically be donated to the school at no extra cost to you.

Follow these steps to complete the organization selection:

1. Log In or Create a Digital Account

• Go to the official Dillons Community Rewards Portal.
• Click Sign In if you already have an account, or click Create an Account to make a new one.
• Make sure your physical Plus Shopper’s Card number (or a virtual card number) is linked to your digital account profile. [1,

2. Navigate to Community Rewards

• My Account.
• Scroll down the left-hand menu or profile page and click on Community Rewards.

3. Search and Select Central Elementary

• Click Enroll or Edit under the "Find your Organization" search box.
• In the search bar, type Central Elementary School or Central USD 462 (the school district for Burden).
• Click Search.
• Look through the results list to find the entry matching Central Elementary School in Burden, KS.

4. Save and Confirm

• Click the Enroll or Save button next to the school's name
• The status on your screen will update to show you have successfully linked your card.
