🌍 School Zones vs. National Zones — What’s the Difference?
Every K12-powered school is different when it comes to Zone access:
-
🏫 Some schools have School Zones (no parent consent needed)
-
🌎 Some have opted into the National K12 Zones (consent needed if your student is 12 or under)
-
🔄 Some offer both, and a few may offer neither
Your student’s access depends on what their school has chosen to provide.
✅ Check with your school directly to find out which Zones are available!
Parental Consent Needed for National K12 Zone Access (Ages 12 & Under)
If your student is 12 or younger and wants to explore the National K12 Zone, parental consent is required.
✅ No consent is needed for School Zones, where students only interact with their own classmates.
How to Give Consent:
-
Visit consent.k12.com
-
Log in with your Legal Guardian credentials
-
Select your student(s) and follow the steps
🔐 Without consent, students under 13 can access School Zones only.
