Exam Schedule Exam Schedule

As a reminder, there are no Grade 7 and 8 final exams this year. These classes will run normally through June 23.

Exam Attendance

On any day your student has a scheduled exam, they must remain in their designated exam room until the start of morning break at 10:20.

Once their exam is complete, Grade 9 students are expected to attend their regularly scheduled classes and/or study blocks. Standard daily attendance procedures will apply for the remainder of the school day. During instructional time students are not permitted to use their personal devices to call home, nor come to the office to do so.

PROCEDURES FOR EXCUSING STUDENTS AFTER EXAMS

If you choose to excuse your student from their classes after they finish exams, please inform the school at least one day in advance. Once students are excused, they must leave school property to avoid any potential disruption to the rest of the school.

Junior High Curriculum Updates

Next year, EIPS will use the 2026–27 school year as an optional piloting year in select curriculum before full implementation in September 2027. Piloting allows teachers to test the draft curriculum, build expertise, and refine instructional practices before the changes become official. EIPS’ approach is deliberately careful, with the continuity of student learning as the top priority. Here's what to expect during EIPS's piloting year.

What Students Will Experience

  • Grade 7: Students will pilot the new curriculum in all four subjects: Math, Social Studies, Physical Education & Wellness, and Career Education & Financial Literacy (CEFL).
  • Grade 8: Students will fully pilot PE & Wellness and CEFL. They will participate in a partial pilot for Math to ensure a smooth transition into Grade 9 and high school.
  • Grade 9: Students will continue with the current curriculum for Math and Social Studies. Grade 9 PAT preparation will remain unaffected, ensuring a predictable transition to high school. However, Grade 9s will experience the new Physical Education & Wellness and CEFL subjects.

Cohort/Classroom Requests 2026/27 Cohort/Classroom Requests 2026/27

We always strive to ensure that our classes are as balanced as possible and are set up to maximize success for all students. Our teachers are in the best position to understand the dynamics of each group, including the academic, social, and emotional factors that support a positive learning environment. Because of this, we will not be taking any classroom/cohort requests for the 2026/27 school year.
