Welcome Tigers!
August 5, 2026
Hello Tiger Families!
Welcome to the new school year! I hope that your summer has been filled with memorable moments - with a few more left to create before the first day of school on Wednesday, August 19.
My family and I were fortunate to spend part of our summer cruising through the Western Caribbean, enjoying the beautiful turquoise waters, tropical scenery, and unforgettable experiences in places like Belize and Cozumel. We also celebrated my mom's 80th birthday in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Tahoe. Whether we were exploring new places or enjoying the peacefulness of the mountains and lakes, I return feeling refreshed, recharged, and even more grateful to lead such a special school community.
As we prepare to launch the 2026–27 school year, my hope is that every member of our Wildwood family finds and celebrates the beauty of learning, growth, and connection. Together, we’ll work to elevate each student’s academic journey and create meaningful experiences that make Wildwood a place where everyone thrives.

Part Time Job Opportunities for the 2026-2027 School Year
Wildwood is currently seeking candidates for the following part-time positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
Campus Supervisor (Mornings)
2.5 hours per week
We are looking for friendly, reliable campus supervisors for the 2026–27 school year to help support student safety and supervision each morning from 7:40–8:10 AM, Monday–Friday. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact, connect with students, and be part of our Wildwood community. If you or someone you know is interested in this part-time paid opportunity, please contact our front office for more information!
Academic Specialist
12-15 hours per week
Wildwood is seeking 1 certificated teacher to serve as an Academic Specialist - a paid opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. Academic Specialists support targeted student learning, collaborate with teachers to strengthen instruction, and help ensure all students receive the support they need to thrive. Their work is essential in bridging gaps, enriching learning, and building staff capacity. Training available.
If you or someone you know holds a valid teaching credential and is passionate about supporting student success schoolwide, we’d love to connect! Please reach out to the office or Mr. Lynch for more information.
Make it personal!
Now is a GREAT time to get student names on lunch bags and water bottles. Please do your part to prevent loss of personal items by labeling student belongings. This small act also saves school staff hours of time over the course of a school year trying to reunite students with their belongings.
2026-27 Lost & Found Protocol: All Lost & Found items will be removed from campus and donated to a good cause on the last day of EACH month. Please do your part to remind your children to bring personal items home each day, and we will assist as well.

Attendance
Short-Term Independent Study (STIS)
Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in a child's academic success, and we encourage families to schedule vacations and other non-essential travel during school breaks whenever possible.
If your child will have a planned absence of 1–15 consecutive school days, please contact both your child's teacher and the front office as soon as your plans are known to request a Short-Term Independent Study (STIS) agreement. Please do not wait until the day before or only a day or two before your child's absence. Teachers need adequate time to prepare instructional materials, and the office must complete the required paperwork before your child's absence begins.
Thank you for helping us ensure your child remains connected to learning while minimizing disruptions to the instructional program. If you have any questions about STIS, please contact the Wildwood front office.
- Enrichment -
Please click the "Digital Backpack" image to check if any new community fliers have been posted recently. Not all fliers will appear as images in our Wildwood Weekly newsletter, and we don't want you to miss out on community events, classes, or opportunities that are of interest to you. Fliers are organized under three tabs:
- School-Connected Organizations and Governmental Agencies
- Non-Profit Groups
- All Other Groups
From time to time, individuals or groups in the community will distribute information and advertisements to parents/guardians on the public sidewalks during school arrival or dismissal. This information is not affiliated or endorsed by Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD. Any approved communications (i.e. announcements, fliers) from Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD will be provided directly from the school to you via email, or given to your students to take home. If you ever are unsure whether or not materials are from Wildwood Elementary and CVUSD, please do not hesitate to contact the front office.
