Bobcat Bulletin
VOLUME 9
Principal Update
Dear Bobcat Families,
Get ready, Bobcats! Next week is officially Red Ribbon Week! โค๏ธ This is a fun and important week when we celebrate making good choices, keeping our bodies healthy, and staying drug-free! Even our youngest Bobcats can learn how to make healthy choices, be a good friend, and make decisions that help them grow strong and shine bright. ๐
Students are invited to join in the fun by participating in our weekly dress-up days and special challenges! Letโs show our Bobcat pride, spread kindness, and remember that we are all growing toward a bright and healthy future. Thank you for helping us remind our Bobcats that making good choices helps us grow into our very best selves! โค๏ธ

Title I Survey
Bobcat Families,
Itโs that time of year again! We are asking our families to take a few minutes to complete our Fall Title I Parent Engagement Survey.
Your feedback is important to us! We want to hear your thoughts and ideas so we can continue planning meaningful parent engagement events and opportunities that support our students and families.
Please complete the survey by November 6, 2026.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for being an important part of our Bobcat family! Together, we can continue to help our students grow and thrive!
October Reading Challenge
Our October reading spotlight is all about mystery stories! ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ๐
Students can:
๐ Read one of our recommended mystery books
๐ง Listen to a mystery story online
๐ Check out a mystery book from the library
๐ Read a mystery book they already have at home
๐ Choose ANY mystery book they would like!
The goal isn't just to check a book off a list. We want our Bobcats reading, enjoying books, talking about what they read, and discovering something new!
After you finish reading, answer the questions and turn your log in.
๐ Return your completed reading log by November 2.
๐ Every completed reading log earns 100 PawPoints for your HOUSE!
๐๏ธ Every student who turns in a completed log will also be entered into a special prize drawing!
Word of the Week
๐พ๐๐ Our Bobcats have been doing an impeccable job growing their vocabulary! Weโve explored words like curious, flourish, scrumptious, impeccable, wander, and blunderโand this week, weโre adding a new word to our vocabulary toolbox: EAGER! ๐
โจ Eager means being excited and ready to do something!
๐ฌ Can you use it in a sentence?
โI was eager to get to school because I couldnโt wait to learn something new!โ
๐ Family Challenge: Talk about something your family is eager to do! Are you eager to go on a trip, try a new activity, celebrate a special occasion, or learn something new?
Try using our Word of the Week in conversations at home!
Letโs see how many times our Bobcats can use their new word and share what theyโre eager to do! ๐พ๐๐

Strive for 95!!
โ Every Day Matters
Students are enrolled in 180 days of instruction each school year. In order to get the most out of their education, students should strive to be present for at least 95% of those days.
Please remember that every day countsโincluding half days, two-hour delays, and virtual learning
days. We make a consistent effort to include all core subjects during these days to ensure students stay on track and donโt fall behind. These days count toward regular attendance and are important for academic growth.
We understand that occasional illnesses or emergencies happen, but consistent attendance is one of the biggest predictors of student success. Every day in school matters! Please consider using this attendance tracker to keep track of your childโs absences, and please make every effort to ensure your child is in school each day. If your child is experiencing recurring illness or you need support, donโt hesitate to reach out to our School Social Worker or School Counselor. We are here to work with you and can help develop a plan to support your child and keep them on track.
