Warren School Weekly Update
April 6, 2023
April 6, 2023
This week many of our families are celebrating important holidays in classrooms. We had a chance to talk about the similarities and differences of these celebrations. For our families that are having seder for Passover, Chag Sameach! To others celebrating Good Friday and Easter this Sunday, Happy Easter! Also, this month many families are celebrating Ramadan, Ramadan Mubarak! A display highlighting the month of Ramadan has been in our lobby for the last two weeks. This display will be moving to the Mindess School next week.
This weekend is an Ashland Family Reconnect Weekend. The purpose of these weekends, throughout the year, is to have students, staff and families share time with people that are important to them. Everyone in the Ashland Public Schools believes that family, mental, and physical wellbeing is paramount to the success of our students. Please take this time to be with your child and have some fun! Play a game together, go for a hike, or do a puzzle. Find a new hobby to explore!
I hope you have a great long weekend,
Pete Regan
Principal
Indian Culture Night
Come learn more about the Indian culture! The Warren School Site Council will host an Indian Culture Night from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. Families can observe or have henna art painted on their body, eat a free traditional Indian dinner, and learn more about the Indian culture. Children will participate in a cricket demonstration. As a meal will be served, this event is limited to 150 people.
Interested participants must sign up by 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 13. A lottery will be held on Thursday, April 13. All families will be informed of their lottery status on Friday, April 14. A wait list will be kept for any interested families after we reach our capacity of 150.

Are you looking to Volunteer at Warren School?
We are looking for parent volunteers to help our hard-working teachers with some administrative tasks. An hour of your time can help loosen the load for our teachers, giving them more time to plan, teach, and create fun activities with our children.
EDP for 2023-2024 School Year
For the 2023-2024 school year, we are accepting students on a waitlist basis only, as all of our programs are currently full. In order to be added to the waitlist or maintain their current spot on the waitlist, families need to complete the attached form and return it at their earliest convenience.
