The iLearn test will be given to students from April 18th through April 28th. Please ensure that your child is in school all day on these testing days. Avoiding scheduling appointments during the testing window will be very helpful.

Participation is limited to the first 25 GJHS girls to return the application, waiver, and field trip forms by March 17, 2023. The $10 application fee covers a sack lunch and a t-shirt.

The Goshen Community Schools eSports Clubs are excited to announce their upcoming event “Family Game Night”. The clubs will host a night of unlimited family-friendly board games, card games, and video games. Additionally, tournaments will be held for Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers in the GJH auditorium for prizes. There will also be raffles available for a variety of prizes!

In partnership for the evening, Next Reality VRCade located at The Old Bag Factory, will be hosting a Virtual Reality Room showcasing a few of the games available from VRCade.

All proceeds for the event will go back into the expansion of the eSports clubs of Goshen Community Schools. We hope to see you at a fun night open to all Goshen students and families.

Please have your students GCS ID available to be shown to attend this event.

Spring Sports Start Dates:

Track-starts March 16th from 4:00-6:00pm

Golf-starts March 20th from 4:00-6:00pm

Tennis-tryouts are March 27th and 28th from 4:00-6:00pm

Requirements:

1. You must have a 22-23 IHSAA Sports Physical completed and submitted before you are eligible to practice or tryout.
2. All forms must be completed on FinalForms. Go to: goshen-in.finalforms.com to complete these forms.

Fliers with more information and requirements can be picked up in the Athletic Office.

Goshen Junior High apparel is available for purchase from the bookkeeper, Michelle Strite. Short Sleeved T-Shirts are $10, 3/4-Sleeve Baseball Tees, $15, and Hoodies are $20. Cash or check only. All items are adult sizes. You are welcome to stop in during the day to purchase.

The Goshen Public Library is offering many events and activities for teens this month. Check out the flier below for more information!

Orders for the 2022-23 yearbook are now being accepted. The cost is $30. You may send in cash or check, made payable to GJHS, with your student along with the order form below. Or you may order online at https://ybpay.lifetouch.com/Order/SelectJob with the yearbook ID 14773223. Yearbooks will be distributed at the end of this school year. Orders are due March 31.

21st Century Scholars Program

The 21st Century Scholars program offers income-eligible Hoosier students up to four years of paid tuition at an eligible Indiana college or university after they graduate from high school.

Students can only enroll in seventh or eighth grade. In high school they participate in the Scholar Success Program and are connected to programs and resources to help them prepare for college and career success. Once in college, Scholars receive support to complete their college degrees and connect to career opportunities.
