Dear Timberwolf Families,
We are excited for Literacy Week at Truedell. The activities kick off today when students have the opportunity to choose four different staff members to listen to read some of their favourite books. The map below is an image of all of the different stories and who was reading them. I encourage you to prompt your children to share which books they listened to today at school. All students will have the opportunity to have cookies and milk provided by the school today as well. Tuesday is the second annual book exchange. Thank you to everyone who donated books. Every Truedell student will choose a book to take home today. We are hoping to encourage a love of reading as well as the importance of reducing waste and reusing books that you are finished with. Thursday is "Read My Shirt" Day at Truedell. Students are encouraged to wear a shirt that has text written on it so that they can practise reading each others shirts.
Recently, there have been a number of vehicles entering the parking lot between 8:45 am and 9:00 am. Please be reminded that you are unable to enter the parking lot during this time (8:45-9:00 am) as a safety measure. There will be upgrades to the parking lot this summer that will allow for safe drop off for the 2025-26 school year. In the meantime, please respect the safety measures that are in place.
The Limestone District School Board is currently working to develop the 2025-2026 school year calendar. In collaboration with our coterminous boards, Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, there are three options for consideration. We would like to gather the opinions of different members of the Limestone community to guide our final decision. Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey. The survey is open until Monday, February 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.

If you would prefer a paper version of the survey, please contact us and a hard copy will be provided.
Your input is important to us. We appreciate your time in submitting your feedback.
As always, please reach out to us if you have questions or need support.
Take care,
K. Esford, Principal
