Morning drop-off update: lower loop closed
Morning drop off update!
- We will no longer be using the lower "down below" drop off area in the mornings.
- Instead, please drop off your children in the main parking lot drop off area.
- You may also park and walk your students to the gate.
- Please follow the sidewalks and official crosswalks to ensure safety and traffic flow, entering Grand Oaks through our main gate by the office only.
- This change will allow us to improve morning walk for 2nd - 5th grade students, ensuring more safety and a positive start to the school day for all students.
- This change will NOT affect afternoon pick up. Afternoon pick up will remain the same as before, with the lower loop open.

Community Resources
Citrus Heights Arts District Designation
The Citrus Heights Arts District is being established to guide our community’s growing arts and culture efforts with intention and impact. By defining a dedicated district, we create a strong framework that encourages creative investment from artists and local businesses, supports cultural tourism, and strengthens our local economy. This designation will help activate underutilized spaces for studios, galleries, performances, and public art installations, while also building deeper partnerships with arts organizations, schools, and local businesses.
With a clearly identified district, all stakeholders can better collaborate and market our collective arts, culture, and placemaking initiatives—maximizing visibility, engagement, and community pride. Ultimately, the Arts District serves as the foundation for continued investment in creative spaces and community-driven design throughout Citrus Heights.
Location:
The designated district spans Auburn Boulevard from the Sylvan Community Center (Community Dr.) to the northern city limits. This corridor already includes established arts-related uses, holds historical significance, and has become a growing hub for public art, including several mural installations completed in recent months.
