Who is my teacher this year?
With the district's shift to a new management system, communication regarding classroom placements for students will look a little different this year. All elementary parents/guardians need to make sure you have created your ParentVUE account. (Check your email from July 16th and click the link to set up your ParentVUE account) That is where you will be able to find your child's teacher's name.
Teachers will reach out to introduce themselves through email prior to the first day of school.
As a reminder, we will host "Backpack Night" on Monday, August 10th from 5:00 - 6:30. Students will be able to drop off supplies and meet teachers at that time. More information will be sent out prior to this date.
We can't wait to see our students and families soon!
How do I know what Bus my child is on?
you can find your child's bus route information through ParentVUE
This information will include the inbound and outbound route number, the location and time of pickup and drop-off for each route, the ID number of the bus, and the days of the week the bus will run.
Simply log into your ParentVUE accout, click on "student information" than scroll down to teh Transportation section. You will see your child's Bus Route #, pick up and drop off location and times.
Please be patient the first two weeks of school as we work to finalize bus routes and scheduled times.
What happens at Arrival and Dismissal?
At Anderson, we believe that every school day should begin and end with students feeling safe, welcomed, and cared for. Our arrival and dismissal procedures are designed to keep students safe while creating a positive start and finish to each day.
Morning Arrival
Arrival Window: 8:50–9:05 a.m.
🚌 Bus Riders
Students riding the bus will arrive at the back of the school, where Anderson staff members greet them as they step off the bus. Students enter through the back entrance, receive another warm welcome inside the building, and then head directly to their classrooms.
During the first few days of school, we have additional staff throughout the building to help students find their classrooms and feel comfortable as they begin the new school year.
🚗 Car Riders
If you are driving your child to school, please use the front drop-off lane between 8:50 and 9:05 a.m.
To help traffic move efficiently:
- Pull your vehicle all the way forward before stopping.
- Have your child exit from the passenger (curb) side of the vehicle.
- An Anderson staff member will greet your child and help them safely onto the sidewalk.
After 9:05 a.m.:
Please park your vehicle, walk your child to the front entrance, and sign them in using our iPad attendance system. For student safety, please do not drop students off at the curb after 9:05 a.m.
Every Child Matters
One of our favorite Anderson traditions is greeting every student with a smile.
Our goal is for every child to receive at least three positive greetings before they even reach their classroom. Those small moments help students feel welcomed, connected, and ready to learn. We believe that strong relationships begin the moment students arrive each morning.
Afternoon Dismissal
Dismissal Begins at 3:25 p.m.
🚗 Car Riders
Car riders are dismissed from their classrooms and walk to the front of the school.
Students spread out along the front sidewalk so they can easily see their family's vehicle as it approaches. Several Anderson staff members are outside each afternoon to supervise, assist students, and help them safely enter their vehicles.
If you prefer, you are welcome to park your car and use the designated crosswalk to meet your child.
🚌 Bus Riders
Bus riders are dismissed by grade level and walk to their assigned buses, where Anderson staff members supervise boarding and ensure every student gets on the correct bus.
Each bus is identified by both a bus number and a colorful animal symbol to help younger students remember their assigned bus.
Please don't worry about our youngest students—we personally escort them to their assigned buses and make sure they are safely on board before the buses depart.
My child will be dropped off and/or picked up, what do I do? Car Rider Information Needed

Transportation Changes: If your child's afternoon transportation changes on any given day, please call the Anderson School Office before 2:30 p.m. and email your child's teacher so we can ensure a safe dismissal.
Thank you for helping us provide a safe and efficient dismissal process for all students.
Lunch Menus
Students simply order lunch with their teacher each morning. Prices for breakfast and lunch can be found on the D303 website under Food Services.
What do we do with our ChromeBook? (Don't forget the charger!)
Reminder: Sign in and Sign Out Process
Student Sign-In & Sign-Out Procedures
To help us maintain accurate attendance records and ensure student safety, Anderson School uses an iPad Sign-In/Sign-Out System for all late arrivals and early dismissals.
If your child arrives late (tardy):
- Please park and accompany your child to the front entrance.
- Come into the school office and use the iPad to sign your child in.
- The process is quick and allows us to accurately record your child's arrival time.
If your child needs to leave school early:
- Please come to the school office and use the same iPad system to sign your child out before leaving with them.
- This helps us maintain accurate dismissal records and ensures a safe and secure release of students.
Thank you for partnering with us to help keep all of our students safe and accounted for throughout the school day.
