Pauba Valley Flight Plan

Dear Pilot Families,

Our students had a great week and we finished with a wonderful Friday Flag! We started our Word Wall Club for Kindergarten and First Grade students who know all of their grade level sight words. They are acknowledged at Friday Flag, come sign the wall in the office, and get a special brag tag. We also began our Specials Awards for PE, Library, and VAPA. When classes earn 3 of these awards they earn an extra recess! Families are always welcome to join Friday Flag. It begins about 8:50. We do require that everyone sign in as a visitor in the office before hand. Hope to see you there sometime soon!

Don't forget! NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY in observance of Labor Day!

Today was our first safety drill. We had student practice a fire drill. During drills, we work to establish routines and structures such as evacuation routes, where to line up, and class/office communication. For a fire alarm, we pull the alarm and that signals teacher to line up students and walk to the meeting point. The students did a great job of listening to teachers and walking safely to their assigned area.

This week students will be diving into our first key, Integrity.

Be sure to ask their lesson with Ms. Julie and Ms. Tarah!

*DO NOT PARK NEXT TO A RED CURB OR THE FIRE HYDRANT OR BLOCK DRIVEWAYS OF THE NEIGHBORS

*Painted white curbs= please remain in the car and wait for your student

*The front parking lot may not be used for student drop-off or pick up. The front lot is only for busses, staff, and families with handicap or special school placards.

*Please adhere to speed limits in the school zone around our school and watch for the crossing guards. We want to ensure student safety before and after school.

*The parking lot and side loop speed is 5 MPH.

If you are a family member of a Pauba Pilot who is a first responder or serving in the military? Did you serve in the past?

If so, we would love to get a picture of you for our Hero Wall! Send it in next week with your Pauba Pilot!

We encourage all Pilots and their families to become familiar with the information in the guidebook. You will find information on school rules & expectations, volunteering, celebrations, contact numbers, breakfast/lunch, and much more!

A paper copy of the guidebook is available to view in the front office.
