Will Generation Z (born 1995-2009) and beyond be the First Not to Outlive Their Parents?

It’s a sobering thought—but one that’s being talked about more and more.

As a Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse, a mom, and a Pippa to my sweet grandkids, this hits close to home.

Experts have warned that today’s children—Generation Z—could be the first generation in over a century not to outlive their parents. Why?

👉 Alarming rises in childhood obesity

👉 Sedentary lifestyles & excessive screen time

👉 Diets loaded with high-fat, high-sugar, processed foods

👉 Declining mental and emotional health

We’re seeing the consequences: more children developing conditions once seen only in adults—type 2 diabetes, heart disease, kidney issues, and more.

But here’s what I believe:

We are not powerless.

As parents and grandparents—we are the gatekeepers of their health.

💡 We stock the pantry.

💡 We fill the fridge.

💡 We cook the meals.

💡 We model the habits they’ll carry for life.

We can course-correct this generation’s health trajectory—starting in our homes.

And for our family, Arbonne has been an incredible partner in that. We use clean, kid-friendly nutrition and personal care products every day—including my grandkids. 🌱

Small daily changes add up. Healthier snacks. More movement. Less sugar. A supportive, proactive mindset.

Let’s not accept this prediction as their fate.

Let’s lead them toward a healthier, longer, and more vibrant life—together. 💚
