Greetings Falcon Family!

It is hard to believe it is November 1st! Time is moving quickly and we must keep that same energy as we move toward achieving our school goals. Our two academic goals focus on increasing the number of students who score in the meets and exceeds categories on SC Ready for Math and ELA. Each teacher has identified twenty students that will receive intentional, focused intervention in Math and ELA. Our Electives, Exceptional Education, and Fine Arts teachers will be implementing Math and ELA strategies within their curriculum to support our school goals this year.

Thank you to our parents who have completed the Cognia survey. Another email will be sent out this week for those of who have not had the chance to complete it. We want to hear from you! This information will help us as we move forward with our Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence process.

An email containing a unique code and survey link for you to share your thoughts regarding our school's strengths and areas for opportunity will be shared this week if you have not had the opportunity to complete the Cognia survey. The survey is confidential and your responses will be used to ensure that our instructional program at Southside Middle School continues to be challenging and research-based.

4 MORE DAYS TO SELL IN OUR FUNDRAISER.

TURN IN MONEY AND ORDER FORM ON TUESDAY, NOV 2ND.

Make sure your student name is on the order form. Take a picture of order form for your reference. The original order form will be returned to you with your order.

We will not accept late orders since we have Holiday items on the brochure.

It was brought to our attention that on the back side the World's Finest Chocolate order form, where you write in your order, the last 4 items on the order form are out of order by LETTER. So if you are ordering mint meltaways, caramel whirls, dark deluxe, and chocolate santa, just disregard letters F,G,H, I and put the quantity you want to order under the NAME OF THE PRODUCT on the ordering grid. (Most of you would do that anyway, but just in case you notice the last 4 letters don't match the inside of the flyer).

HOW DOES IT WORK:

1. Take orders on the back of the Holiday Continental Collection flyer. Collect money as you take orders.

2. Turn in money and the order form (on back side of flyer) on Tuesday, November 2nd.

3. Take a picture of your order form for a copy.

4. The original order form will be returned to you with your chocolate order.

5. You will be notified of the delivery/ pick up day so you can pick up your chocolate.

6. Chocolate will be delivered about 2 weeks after sale ends.

6. Chocolate will not be sent home on the bus.

Southside Middle School has two full-time school nurses on staff to serve our students and staff. The Health Office is located at the end of the 100 Hall.

The Falcons will travel to Ronald E. McNair on Wednesday, November 3rd for the last game of the season! Currently 6-0, a victory over Ronald E. McNair will mark an undefeated season for the team and they will bring home the conference championship!
