Peace, Passion, Purpose

Being considerate of others will take your children further in life than any college degree.

Marian Wright Edelman

“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X

Notes from Michelle

Happy Friday!

At last week’s EPMS Board meeting we approved the calendar for 2022-2023. We are attaching it here.

Please note that there is an update to the school timing as well. For the 2021-2022 academic year, we changed our daily timing significantly due to all of us adapting back to being together. The updated schedule is still shorter than our pre 2020 school day, but helps by setting times so that Wednesdays are closer to the original 1:00 dismissal vs 1:40.

For 2022-2023 the school day schedule will be as follows:

8:15-8:30 drop off

8:30-3:00 Elementary (Grades 1-6) Dismissal

8:30-3:15 Adolescent Program Dismissal

8:30-1:15 ALL School Wednesday Schedule

Have a wonderful weekend.

News from the Office

So many Reminders:

Friendly reminder - The only animals allowed on the EPMS campus are actual Service Animals.

Please see the article from the EPMS Board of Directors from September 2019 - The Eagle Peak Montessori Board of Directors voted on a board policy that impacts ability of families to bring pets of any kind, with them on campus. Unless the animal is a designated service animal, we can no longer allow the animal on campus. The “campus” includes the sidewalk between the fence and the office, the front sidewalk extending from the garbage dumpster all the way the entrance of the Castle Rock Fields. We do ask that if you have your pet with you, that you use the drop off/pick up drive through line for your children.

**Please share this information with all who come to the EPMS campus for pick up.**

If your child has been fully vaccinated, please provide a copy of the completed vaccination card to the office. The information will kept confidential.

When your child is SICK or TARDY, please remember to call (925-946-0994) or email (Admin@eaglepeakmontessori.org) the office. Thank you.

Covid Testing- Please note that we must receive the results of a Covid- 19 PCR test. We cannot accept the results of a rapid test. Thank you for your help with this.

Hello from CFEP!

SPRING SEE'S FUNDRAISER!

We have had such successful See's Candy fundraisers for the holidays and Valentine's Day, that we thought we would have one more this year for Spring/Easter sweets and treats! This sale will run until March 25th, and there are so many cute eggs and treats available! Not only that, but GIFT CARDS are available for you to buy for future purchases!! Every purchase sends 50% back to the school, and See's is a locally run business. If you share the link to your friends and family, they can order and it will benefit the school too. News from Art

Our Art teacher is in need of the following donations:

  • Crayola Air Dry White Clay
  • Fuji Instax Mini Film

Thank you in advance.

Students Sent Home Sick

Please help us help you. We ask that you speak to your child about coming to the office for being ill. While we want anyone who is feeling ill to let us know, we want to also help the students be able to know when a stomach ache might just be a bit of homesickness instead. We are not medical professionals and as such must err on the side of caution. Every time a child comes to the office and says that they have any of the potential symptoms of covid, they must be picked up within 30 minutes and be tested for covid. Thank you for your cooperation.

Don't forget about Box Top$ for Education!

Remember to gather your Box Tops for Education.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to Eagle Peak's earnings online. Even if you’re shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your e-receipts and earn Box Tops. Your earnings may seem small, but they really do add up. The more people that participate, the bigger the impact we can make. Learn more about how Box Tops works at BTFE.com.

Waste Free Wednesdays

On Wednesdays we encourage students to bring little to no waste such as wrappers or anything that goes in to the trash bin. Instead we encourage you to bring reusable, recyclable and compostable containers. Participating in waste free Wednesday will ensure our school is a cleaner place.
