Hillcrest Wednesday Message

We are in full swing with Fall weather! cool in the morning and comfortable in the afternoon. Please continue to monitor the weather to ensure your child has appropriate clothing. As the cooler temperatures begin, if your child is in need of a jacket, please reach out to our building Social Worker, Ms. Guessford.

This Friday will be Comfy Cozy Day! Your child is welcome to wear sweats and/or PJ's to school. Please make sure they are wearing appropriate shoes for school..

Red Ribbon Week

Next week is Red Ribbon Week to support the fight against drugs. There are several activities that will be sent out to our teachers for students to participate in throughout the week. Please see the below flyer for the weeks dress days.

Fall Festival Parade

The Fall Festival Parade will be held next Friday. Please be sure to follow the guidelines and your child's teacher will send out addition information for classroom needs.

• Students may come to school in their costumes on Friday.
• No Face Make-Up
• DO NOT send your child into school with costumes that have blood on them.
• DO NOT send in any accessories to your child costume.
• Students should not wear costume masks to school, however, they may wear them for the parade.
• The parade is due to start at app. 2:30 PM.
• DO Not come in after the parade to sign out your child early. All students are to dismiss according to regular dismissal plans. Please meet your child at the appropriate location for dismissal.

A Message from Home & School

1. Trunk or Treat is Saturday, October 24th from 6-8pm. Last chance to sign up! Register at: https://forms.gle/JestZF7vcUcg7ugi6. Sign up by Thursday, October 22nd! Families can decorate their car or set up a table and have treats ready for up to 75 children. Cost is $10 per vehicle or table and includes admission for 3 children. If you wish to participate without decorating the cost is $10 per child. All students must be accompanied by an adult!

2. Volunteers needed for Trunk or Treat! Sign up at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0949A5A729AAF4C34-66463115-hillcrest#/. Volunteers get free admission for up to 3 children. We cannot hold this event without your help.

3. Boo Grams! Home and School is selling Boo Grams for $1 each. Forms were sent home with students. Boo Grams must be returned to school by Friday, October 23rd! See below attachment.

4. Grades 3, 4 & 5 are invited to a Wild West Dance on Friday, November 13th from 6:30-8:30pm. (Flyer with full details is attached) Sign up online at: https://forms.gle/CwocbzgGKgIVolqC9.

4th Grade Trip Next Week!!

The fourth grade students will be visiting John Heinz Wildlife Refuge next week.
