Good Evening,

It was great to see so many Talbot families for parent-teacher conferences this past week. I know the teachers appreciate the opportunity to talk together about your child’s progress, strengths, and goals. We appreciate you taking the time to be part of these important conversations.

As we move forward through the school year, I want to reaffirm how essential our partnership with you is. When families and schools work together, students thrive, not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Talbot wants and appreciates your involvement, encouragement, and communication. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or celebrations.

The primary responsibility of our traffic supervisors is to ensure the safety of students

as they cross the streets near our school buildings. As noted by the Massachusetts

Department of Transportation, “The crossing guard’s role is to create an adequate gap in

traffic for children to cross the street safely. By law, crossing guards are NOT allowed to

direct traffic.” Please be mindful of these guidelines
