Message from Mr. Imbusch
Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:
Tomorrow is Prom Night! We have planned a wonderful evening of food, dancing, and socializing. The Prom is being held at Gillette Stadium. It begins at 6pm and ends at 10:00pm. Please remember that all students must remain at the venue until at least 9:30pm.
We are on the west side of the stadium this year. Just a reminder, there will be a Rev's game at the same time so please follow the signs to our assigned parking area and enter door W4 (I have attached a map). We will have designated parking in Lot 22A. You will also need to print out the Parking Pass (attached) and put it on your dashboard before entering Gillette. It will help the parking attendants onsite to guide you to the correct area as there is another prom tomorrow night too!
When you arrive, you will need to be checked in, and there will be a receiving line where you can meet the faculty and introduce yourself and your guest (if you are bringing one). We look forward to seeing you all dressed up!
As we head into this exciting evening, I want to take a moment to share an important reminder. Prom is a time to celebrate and make lasting memories - but it's also a time when we must prioritize safety and well-being.
I urge students and families to be mindful of the serious risks and consequences associated with underage alcohol and drug use. Possession or use of these substances at a school event can have significant disciplinary and legal consequences. More importantly, the dangers of ingesting unknown or illicit substances - including the risk of overdose - are very real and can be life-threatening.
Parents, I encourage you to take a few moments to watch this important video: “What Parents Should Know About Social Host Issues.” It offers valuable insight into how we can all help create a safe and supportive environment for our students.
Let’s work together to ensure this weekend is joyful, memorable, and above all, safe. Thank you for your partnership, and have a wonderful prom night!
Sincerely,
Stephen Imbusch

Yearbook Announcements for the Class of 2026
SENIOR parents/guardians: Now that we are in Term 4, the Yearbook staff is kindly asking you to send in any images/candids from Spring-related events for the Senior class. Use this direct link to our Jostens Yearbook image library, or have your Senior upload them into the dropboxes of the Class of 2026 Google Classroom. We’re looking forward to seeing the images you share from the Prom, Film Festival, Spring Sports, Senior Dinner, Senior Walk to Elementary schools, and the Graduation, as well as any other school events.
Info about when Seniors get their Yearbook:
The Yearbook comes in 2 pieces. The “Main Book” has all Fall and Winter events/sports and portraits. The “Spring Supplement” is published after graduation and includes all Spring events/sports.
The Main Book will be ready for each Senior to pick up at the Senior Dinner on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 6pm in the WHS cafeteria. This is when the Senior class has time to sign each other’s Yearbooks.
The Spring Supplement typically gets delivered to the school in July. DUE TO ONGOING CONSTRUCTION at the High School, the Spring Supplement will be stored at Walpole MIDDLE School over the summer and should be picked up there by the Senior or family member. I will send an email to all students and families about when the Spring Supplement is ready for pickup at the Middle School’s Main Office.
Please reach out to Mrs. Harris with any questions regarding the Yearbook: lharris@walpole.k12.ma.us
Host Family Opportunity – Brazilian Exchange Student (Fall 2026)
PSE, an international student exchange agency that partners with Walpole High School, will be welcoming an 11th-grade Brazilian student for the first semester of the 2026–2027 school year.
Amanda is a motivated and enthusiastic student who is excited to experience life in the United States and become part of a local community. She will live with a host family, who will receive a monthly stipend of $1000.
PSE is seeking a host family connected to Walpole High School—whether through current students, faculty, staff, or alumni—who would be interested in opening their home to Amanda during her stay.
Amanda will arrive with her own health insurance and personal spending money. Host families are asked to provide a bedroom/place to study, and three meals per day. Any meals eaten outside the home will be covered by the student. A local coordinator will be available to support both the student and host family throughout the program.
Hosting an international student is a meaningful way to experience cultural exchange and build a lifelong connection—right from your own home.
