Dressed for Success!

Style is important, and no one knows that better than the Spanish I students who started learning how to discuss clothing and shopping preferences this week. Of course, the week kicked off with a style show as students started to familiarize themselves with clothing vocabulary. Practicing listening and speaking skills were also high on the list this week as students drew and dressed characters based off of crazy target-language stories told by Mrs. Nordquist.

Students from SHS and SMS traveled to Aberdeen on Thursday for the Regional Science Fair. While there, students presented on their projects with two different judges, and had the opportunity to participate in various station-style activities to learn more about the different branches of science. The day ended with an awards ceremony. Many of the SHS participants received swag and awards from the sponsors of the competition. Congrats to all!

Future Architects at SHS

Mrs. Goodhart's Algebra II students are taking time this week to review the concept of area by participating in an architecture and area project. Students are creating blue prints and calculating the area of each room and the house as a whole. They are also determining the cost of certain materials that would pertain to square feet.

Twin Sighting!

Dr. Heath snapped this photo of a rare sighting of twins together in the halls of SHS!

While Mr. Holler and Mr. Harrington don't actually share identical genes, they do share the same sort of style, good-natured personalities, and a passion for their subject matter. Be on the lookout for these two hanging out in sophomore hall!
