Happiest of New Years from ECPS

Thank you for your support, may this new year be a full of great accomplishments. Our whole district wishes you a lot of joy and happiness during this holiday season. May the upcoming year will be full of new achievements that will bring you a huge success. Happy New Year.

What's Up Doc?

Dear Elm Creek Families,

This week we welcomed our students back for classes in 2023! I am excited to start the second half of the school year. The holiday recess was a welcomed break for our school community and I hope it offered everyone a chance to relax and rejuvenate. While the 2022-23 school year had many successes and celebrations, I look forward to what our students and staff accomplish this second semester.

As we begin the new year and reflect on the holiday season, I would like to recognize the amazing efforts of our school district and community. Throughout November and December, the generosity of our community members, students, staff, and local businesses was on full display. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the various fundraisers, donation drives, and charity events that benefited those in need! Everyone’s generosity in fulfilling wishes on our trees for giving to our families and staff was amazing.

ELA Curriculum:

Our district is in the process of adopting a new English Language Arts curriculum (PK-12). Both buildings have dedicated teams who have been working hard researching various curriculums. We are excited to roll out a new curriculum for the 23-24 school year.

Activities & Athletics:

We are in our busy months of Winter Sports and Activities. Basketball and Wrestling are now in full swing, with Speech starting tomorrow. Next Friday January 13th please plan to come out to the Elm Creek Wrestling Invitational. Wrestling begins at 11 AM. We will have 16 teams with teams from Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado. We are working hard on making this a great event for Elm Creek. We also want to give a huge shoutout to our boys and girls basketball teams for their Elm Creek Holiday Tournament Championships. Both teams played very well and we are proud of them.
